MIXTURE SEEMED OFFMy last purchase did not seem to take very well. I just colored my hair on 11/22 and it is back to it's brassy, golden color rather than the chocolate brown it should be. The coverage in gray was not as well as previous coloring and I left the color on for 15 minutes longer than I typically do. Dried hair and barely any coverageI followed the instructions to a T, and once I washed it out and conditioned my hair, it was super dry. I got back in to condition it again and thankfully it helped a bit. I learned my coverage wasn't that strong and didn't cover all of my grey like I'm used to. Guaranteed to destroy your hairI cannot begin to describe how painful the chemical burns on my scalp were from this product. I am no rookie to at home or salon hair coloring but this takes the cake for bad hair experiences. I HAD long beautiful hair to the top of the small of my back. I was looking to get close to my natural dark brown and let it grow out as gracefully as I could. My roots are a completely different color than the rest and as I mentioned earlier...my scalp has chemical burns. My hair is destroyed. It was brittle and breaking immediately following using this product. I went to my stylist and begged to have my hair saved. It's now 6 inches shorter. Totally fried ends and damaged the entire way up. Now that my body is healing, I only have damaged hair and a peeling scalp to show for my super discount deal from eSalon. If you like your hair go to a real salon because sometimes the cheaper product is just a cheap product. UPDATE: eSalon emailed an intent to refund my purchase, much appreciated and extraordinarily timely, then replied to my review claiming an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, chemical burns are not the same as an allergic reaction or sensitivity. I'll leave things at that on this particular topic. Although I will never recommend this low quality product line after such a horrid experience with the product, I will give credit where credit is due as eSalon was on the ball with a refund and return comment to my review. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Color faded, head developed soreness after skin test was clear.Love the packaging, and thought that a lot of time and quality went into the packaging, however my head was really sore the next almost two weeks after dyeing came in contact with my scalp. I tested it on my wrist and had no problems, but my head was sore and felt black and blue for quite some time and I broke out with a few little tiny sores. When contacted the company they immediately gave me all my money back, and I cancel future orders. Could just be me, but I've never had a reaction to any of the department store dyes or other dyes beauticians use. It turned my roots orangey and my ends mustardy yellow...I was just trying to blend my level 8 blonde roots with my lighter, highlighted blonde hair. I tried the demi-color that was recommended, along with a color-fill. I think because the fill was a warm fill color, it lightened my roots to a red, while the ends ended up a mustardy color. Anyhow, I ended up going to the salon to have it fixed. I have brunette friends who have tried e-salon and loved it but, I don't think it works well with blondes. Wouldn't recommend for the latter. Nice Color but not for White Hair CoverageMy colorist tried really hard to get a color that would cover my stubborn mostly white hair. Unfortunately, the pigment did not work and the color was brassy and not too attractive in spite of adjustments to attempt to correct the tone.
