LOVE MY COLOR!!!I have long, thick, dry, frizzy, coarse red hair, which is very difficult to color, because it's the least porous hair, therefore, coloring it DOES NOT last! No matter what I did, how often I cut it, condition it with every wash, going to salon after salon or bought something from the store and doing it myself. Two months later, the color was gone, so I was just wasting my money! For the longest time, I had been reading about eSalon, debating over whether or not to try them. VERY glad I did!!! Not only does the color last(at least 5-6 months!), but it is a lot closer to my natural hair color(copper), and doesn't turn out burgundy, like all the other times I've had it colored! Very nice qualityThe color has a better look than what I was using. I am trying to go from darkest brown that looks black to a dark brown or brown black. Another words, a shade down. My gray is beginning to pop through but in the regrowth only. Usually anything other than almost black fades and the gray is revealed. This color has stayed where I put it. Quick to respondMy first mixture had just a little bit too much red for my liking. so I sent them a note just within days of them shipping me my new products and they made a correction that quick. PerfectThe color looked like it was performed in a salon. I have been very impressed with the quality. After making changes to the original color, my colorist resounded by changing it to make it closer to my natural hair color. Having naturally dark hair, I worried it would look too one dimensional or too black. I was happy to see that it looks multi-dimensional and natural, as it would if I had it dyed in a salon. I did elect to later order hi lights and the color was perfect but my technique isn’t. The instructions for hi light weren’t as clear & easy to follow for hi lighting as they were for dying hair. I would like them to provide greater detail on hi lighting hair. For instance, give a couple of closeups when dividing the hair into separate sections. The picture isn’t clear. I can’t exactly see what part of the hair is left down in the back and where the middle section starts and ends. Also, knowing how much color to keep on the brush and instead of showing a drawing, I would appreciate seeing a real picture of the brush with color on it as it is supposed to look when applying it to the hair. I watched the video provided on the website and it didn’t really help or answer all my questions. I usually do my hair in the evening so it would have been too late to call for questions. Other than this, my experience has been great! I would recommend it to anyone interested who has the patience to do their own work. For instance, I wouldn’t ever recommend this to my mom because she would probably not have patience to read all the way through the instructions and take her time doing it, especially the first time, which means she would likely do a terrible job of it. The color and technique is very forgiving for amateur hands like myself and as long as I follow the dying instructions as best as I can, I have had great results. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. LOVE this product!!!Ok- I’ve had highlights and lowlights for 35 years- now I have grey that pops through the new dark growth. I wanted to try this to extend my salon visits from 4 weeks to at least 6/7 weeks. I was sooo scared-! I’d used OTC products that left my hair orangeish. So I dive right in , no test sample.. and I couldn’t believe the subtle, awesome color/cover that took place!! It lasted forever! When I had my real salon appt, she mentioned that they did a great job of making the new growth beige rather than orange and brassy- she is from NY, a great hair stylist- and she was really impressed. Better then store bought!I have used store bought hair color and have had the color wash out much more quickly then it states BUT with ESALON the COLOR LASTS and does not wash or turn brassy. It stays dark until my gray comes in. It is a good quality product that does not dry out my dry hair or thin it out.
