It's been many many yrs since I've had any color in my hair so it was very important to me that this color be a slight change not something too drastic. I have dark blonde hair that has lost its sheen and looks almost dirty blondish-grey. I wanted a slight change to make it more dark golden blonde without so much dirty-grey tone. After answering questions, choosing colors, describing (probably over-describing) exactly what I was looking for and up loading photos of me w/my current natural color I was still very skeptical some so called colorist, however far away, would be able to send me exactly what I asked for. Nevertheless, when I received it I was determined to more forward with my choice to color my hair. Since it had been so long I'd done this myself, I had my sister apply it for me. The kit is very easy and comes with everything you need (except for clips to section hair with). After all was complete and my new color was dried and styled, I was simply amazed how perfect the color is; it is to the tee of what I described and asked for! We are always the toughest critics of ourselves and how we look - I tend to be a real perfectionist. And for me to even be sharing a review is s huge deal; I rarely ever do, even if the product is decent. However I am so pleased with this product and service, and you really can't beat the cost (at least to try it), I felt compelled to share my experience about eSalon. If I do decide to continue coloring my hair I will most definitely be ordering from them.

It doesn't turn my hair red after a few washings! I have tried every brand of hair color and they don't hold my color it turns red I have naturally drark brown but they all turned red! Now I have alot of gray It covers well! and don't turn red! my picture has some gray on the sides that was intensional!

The color came out less orange, and is a much better color. But I think I'm looking more for a red on the cool side.. that's how it was explained long ago to me. I love your kits and the convenience. Also yours is the only color I've ever had that does not run off on pillows the first night.. even salon colors did that! So let me know what you think I might like a little more. Thanks

I didn't know what to expect after trying every colour manufacturer under the sun for my increasing grey hair invasion. I have nearly black hair so regrowth happens quickly... I thought until finding e salon. I have learned that the colours I have used haven't "attached" well to my (grey) hair and I was touching up after only a week. Not with e salon... I am now well into week 2.

I felt that my hair had become somewhat drab. Since I do not wear makeup, it is important that my hair brings some enthusiasm to my face. As always, the color was easy to apply and the end product did enliven me quite a bit. I am happy with the result.

I have been doing my own hair for years. Periodically I would go to the salon and treat myself to have my hair colored. I loved how they colored my hair but it was always so expensive. I must tell you; I was really skeptical about using this product and didn't use it when it first arrive, I just kept using my coloring pencil to cover in my gray. Today I used the color and I swear, I thought I had gone to the salon to have my color put in. It was perfect. Not because of me, but my colorist. When I submitted my initial order I received an email to contact the company. When I spoke with my colorist she indicated the color I selected online was darker than the picture I submitted. She asked if I wanted it darker or the same color. I said the same color. The product colored my gray much better than any product I've ever purchased over the counter and as good if not better than the professional color that cost me a fortune. My hair is natural and the oil that was sent after washing my hair made my hair silky smooth! Thank you so much for this wonderful service and your amazing products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hair is a very dark brown to pretty much black and usually when I buy store bought hair color I have to use two boxes each month for about 3 months to get it a little light. When I tried eSalon I used one application and it definitely lightened up my hair within 30 minutes. I was impressed with the change it did. It was not the exact color I was looking for but I plan to continue to use eSalon and see if maybe a second application will make me 100% happy. I really can't complain with the results because my hair is super dark naturally and super thick.

The color was perfect. My only complaint was that it didn't cover my gray well enough. But that could be because I went with semi permanent. I did email them and they said they will adjust my next order. Can't wait to use this color again!

I changed my color formula to something less brassy and like it now. I am interested in pursuing and option of a slightly darker color which could give a slightly variable look to some strands--sort of like a "reverse frosting." Is there a special kit for that effect?

I don't feel comfortable using store bought hair color. I trust u guys to get me the right color and no damage to hair. So far so good. Luv the shampoos. Hair has less damage n feels soft. Only thing just little too much red in my blonde but still like it.

I have grey hair with the remains of bleached out colour. After the custom hair colour it is warm and bright but definitely suits my eye and skin colour.

I have many hair color horror stories. Many about coloring my whole head only to find it too dark everywhere and the grays still gray. I've had major color damage from salon services, and some all out fails that left my hair a mess. I had almost given up on coloring and resigned myself to going gray in my mid 40's. I was also freaked out by changes in my hair texture and really bad breakage post a bad coloring incident, especially now that I'm wearing my natural afro-textured curly hair.
This hair color treats my naturally curly hair really well. And the customer service instructions to add a hair masque to the routine has 100% made all the difference. I'll never go back to box color from the drugstore--or a professional stylist. Ever.

I was a bit skeptical at first ordering a hair color online that I could not physically hold and consider. I love how esalon helps you select the perfect shade. I was a medium blonde with brassy, faded highlights. My roots (cool beige blonde) were overgrown by about six inches. I followed the prompts, and picked as close a shade as I could to my natural color growing out. I took a picture of my current color, and uploaded it for stylist Danielle to review. I told her I want to cover my highlights and have a natural hair color. The color I received was stunning, perfect match to my roots. I just colored on Saturday and I have already received many compliments. I am so happy with my purchase, and my color is beautiful. I do not have any complaints about the product, and am looking forward to my next touch up now that I have my signature color. Thank You Danielle, you did a fantastic job.

I give eSalon a 💯. Once you try it, you will never go back to purchasing your color from the drug store. I had hand surgery and was in a cast for 8 weeks. My roots were horrible. So my cast came off Wednesday and I colored my hair Thursday....Voile The color matched PERFECTLY. I❤️eSalon

As someone wanting a ginger/red colour, the shops proved very disappointing as they sell such a small range of these shades. With e-Salon, I've been able to choose the exact shade I want and set up a regular supply which I can change as and when I need to. I've had absolutely no problems with my orders and have been delighted with the ease of application. The shade remains true throughout the time between applications and my hair is in excellent condition. I'd be happy to recommend this product and company and have, in fact, already done so!

I did went to my beautician and she did my hair with this new product, she was amazed how the color turn out , and my hair look so beautiful and color my grays , except i notice few. I wasn't able since i had hand surgery few weeks ago and was not able to do myself. However I lost also the instructions paper, she ques the minutes and she was surprise with the prize. Perhaps i was thinking the owner can get this product? She said only need more work? and she charge me the same as she did applied the color. So , I had no choice to get my hair done. Using eSalon hair color has been HAIR-TACULAR!!! I was not ever someone to color my hair at home myself but after I moved and had to find someone New to start doing my hair after being with same hair stylist for over 25 years I was extremely nervous as through the years less than five times using someone other than my stylist only to end up with a nightmare(I am MAJOR Particular) that my original stylist would have to fix so it was like I ended up paying twice to get what I wanted. So I was SO NERVOUS and scared looking at local advertisements, I happened to be on computer and saw an ad for eSalon and figured I'd try it thinking I certainly wouldn't end up with, worse case 😬scenario(even), the nightmares😱 I had paid large amounts of money 💰 to have bestowed upon me, so I decided to check out an order from the eSalon to my shock😃 and delight😊I was able to use their color choosing questionnaire and end up with the EXACT COLOR I had tried to explain even to my regular stylist (and still never quite got in all these years😥). And at a very reasonable price, only a small amount more than I would have paid just picking up haircolor at the local Walmart to do myself at home and tremendously less than I would have paid at the salon, so considering it was BETTER than any other time I had paid to have someone else do it, I am beyond words with DELIGHT, AMAZEMENT, JUBILATION and HAPPINESS at having given the eSalon haircolor a try and WOULD RECOMMEND it to absolutely anyone you'll be HAPPY you tried it as well!!!!!!💕😃🎉 My hair also has remained Beautiful,🌹 Healthier, 🤗and Silkier 💃🏻🕺🏻Than ever before!!! The instructions were very clear and the product was exactly what I wanted. As a busy stay at home mom with two kids, I was having trouble getting out to make hair appointments to cover my grays. This is no affordable and convenient. I will be using again!

I haven't colored my hair in many years, so I opted to stay close to my natural color. The formula I ordered nearly matched and not many people seemed to noticed I did anything with my hair (which was a good thing)

I love that this product is easy to do yourself at home. The whole process online is fun and intriguing. The only reason I gave four stars is because I'm very used to my hair having highlights. I wish the product would offer some dimension.

I love the color and coverage of this product however, I do have one complaint. This product leaves a glue like substance in my hair that is extremely difficult to wash out. I did not want to give up the coverage but, the "glue" is gross. I found a solution, I do not use the shampoo and condition it comes with rather I use a clarifying shampoo and follow up with intense conditioner. I wash and condition twice with my own products and it works great. So glad I didn't have to give up this product.

eSalon is most definitely the closest thing to any Salon I have ever been too. It looks better than my sister who swears by the Salons. Not me I am hooked.

I think a bigger bottle would be great. Even using it on roots only, if you have long hair I have found that you need to use a little more to touch up and refresh your hair. Otherwise it is brilliant. The scent is clean with no residue. I recommend following the instructions for best results. Awesome product...great way to keep your 2nd day blowout looking great.

This is my third batch of color from eSalon and I'm very happy with the results. It colors the grey until my roots grow out and the color is as vibrant at the start as at the finish. Advice - make sure you only do the roots if it says to as using it all over (as I did the second lot) will actually make the ends darker!

I am a 35 year old woman going gray- like, almost 60% of my head. I have been going to the salon every 4 weeks for the last several years to keep my brown up and could probably be going every 3. I have had enough and finally tried eSalon. The color was perfect and the directions were very easy to follow. I used the two step color the first time and now I can't wait to keep it up. There were a few grays in front that didn't take the color as well, but I called the 800 number and was immediately told they would send me the color (cover up) spray, complimentary, to get me through until my next color shipment. I don't really want to wait for four weeks to get these guys covered, but maybe I'll just pluck them. The color is almost an exact match to what I have been paying much more for. It took about an hour, but at least I was at home and could get other stuff done. I was hesitant to try this product, but I'm glad I did. If you're on the fence, go for it!!!

It's not my color before the grey started but I like the one they mixed for me. I like this product better then "drug store" versions because #1 the color seems to last longer; #2 I really like that I can shampoo the excess colorant out immediately and #3 it gives my hair 'body'. I know most hair colors cause the hair to have some body to it but overall I'm very happy I tried the eSalon product. It costs a little more but I figure "I'm worth it"(Ha, ha.) With your order you are also given 'real latex' gloves not plastic. You also are given samples of their shampoo and conditioner, a 'stain guard' and 'stain remover'. You are given clear,. easy to follow instructions for application. And it is nice how they are always making sure you are satisfied with your results. (They send e-mails asking for feed-back.) Having a 'personal representative' is always a plus with any service. I've used this product 4 or 5 times, had them adjust the color 2 times. And hey, if in the future I want to 'tweak' the color again that's my option. I'm a happy customer.
I have really appreciated your hair color product but at 75 and recently widowed I've decided to try to let my hair "go natural" to see if the thinning will stop and also to see if i'll like it. Thanks for your excellent service!

I fancied a change of colour, but nothing inspired me from the shop colours and unable to afford salon prices, I thought I would try esalon.
Really liked the process of explaining your hair type, colour and previous colourings ( it was exactly like a salon)
When my kit came, I was super impressed that my name was on the bottles (nothing is ever mine with 4 kids, but these bottles had my name on)
I'm not going to lie, I was apprehensive to try the dye, but the process was pretty easy ( better with 2 pairs of hands) and surprisingly didn't smell as bad as I expected, plus half the time taken to dye as usual.
The colour itself is lovely, I have deep brown hair with red and purple lowlights, better than expected, I absolutely love it!!
My only criticism would be that there isn't quite enough shampoo and conditioner for long hair.
My hair now feels thick and soft.
Thank you esalon, I will definitely be using you again.

I only applied the roots this time and am satisfied with results . The test will be when I apply the ends. Over all I think I have less of the red than I used to but will reserve judgement until I apply the ends

I LIKE THE QUALITY OF THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT COVERS GRAY FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME THAN OTHER PRODUCTS INCLUDING HAIR SALON PRODUCTS YET IT LEAVES MY HAIR SHINY AND SOFT!

Have a lot of gray and haven't colored in over 5 years. I picked the wrong color. Not only did a colorist e-mail me, but when I called Shannon walked me through everything and helped me pick the perfect color!

I used this product, it covered the grey. My room mates didn't know I had colored my hair. When I mentioned it they said "oh the grey is gone!". Not brassy at all.

I loved the results of the color that was chosen for me. However, I don't use on a regular basis, so I want to be sure I'm NOT on auto order....I prefer to wait to order until I decide it's time to color! Thank you.

I Love Escalon When I was in my 2os my hair dresser had a color I tried I Love it. Needless to say He could never find it again.
That was about 30yrs ago.
I came across eSalon by accident.
I checked it out. The price was right..
Why not. So I did all the questions. Sent pictures in. When I got the color but that they came up with, by my answers. I was shocked. It was that color I'd been looking for. I was hooked
They have deals you can't beat. If you need to up or back your date of delivery you can.
I could go on.

Everywhere I go people are constantly complimenting the color of my hair or telling me how pretty my hair is. I have gray hair that I am covering up and have tried many things but have never has as many compliments as I have had with eSalon.

AWSOME stuff. Doesn't destroy my hair as a natural blond with baby fine but dry, brittle, and very sparse quantity existing pre eSalon patronage. Using this product is actually slowly improving it! I seriously thought I was going to be forced to just submit or... GO BALD lol. We eldens used to call women that had hair like me who had no choice but to give up "blue hairs". Forced to cut short after years of bleaching and balding, and forced to curl to cover up the dawm scalp.
I LOVE that I can adjust the color slowly and with confidence to get back to the natural color that was utterly destroyed by OTC products I started using a year before just to cover the doom and gloom of ole age grays and the Elvira streaks that were starting. I swear I lost at LEAST 1/2 the quantity of hair strands and I seriously couldn't afford that lol.
Also the shampoo and conditioner are the BOMB. Wish I had the $$$ to purchase those items to use daily as well. If you can? DO!!!!!!!!!!
Heck, wish I had to $$$ to invest in this company because I would =)

I really like the color mix. This is the way to go...Much cheaper than visiting a salon. Now I wish there were highlighter and toning options with complete instructions!

No more shop bought dyes ever again!!! Like how it can be tailored to suit what you want and also so easy to use with full instructions- especially if you're changing your colour

I'd always had problems with covering my gray roots with box color. It would leave those areas looking lighter and unflattering. E-salon has it covered and it looks like I had it done professionally.

I could afford to go to a salon to get my roots done, but I can't afford the time and the nuisance! Just for roots!? what a hassle. This product makes all the difference - and it's easy. Every now and then they ask for a selfie to make sure they're still on track w/color, and they send me plenty of product. I ordered some extra tools the first time around to make application a bit easier, but that was all I needed. It's not sloppy, and they give you color remover for your hair line. Great product!

As with any other product I try for the first time, I wasn't sure about the results - I don't know anyone personally who's used it. But I have to say I love how my hair turned out, & that there was more than enough product to take care of the job!!

Hair color is very natural looking. It does not fade like those for sale in pharmacy. With the directions given I found it quite easy to do myself. Ordered it delivered every five weeks but I have decided I would like to keep a backup box in case I would like to do it a week or so earlier because of a special occasion or if I need to go away before my delivery date. Otherwise, 5 weeks seems to work out very well.

First time for me and was worried as I've always been the salon for my colour. I am so pleased with the result. The colour is perfect and lasts very well. In fact I'd say the result is better than the salons. The only thing I would do next time is comb it through to the ends for the last 5 minutes instead of massaging it in whilst in the shower. This is because the fumes are overpowering and I had to open the shower door. I think I'd also wash it off in the sink.
I've read reviews that people keep receiving the product and have difficulty cancelling orders. This is not difficult to do if you open an account. You can change or cancel any order any time ( unless it's currently on its way to you)
I received an e mail after my first order to invite me to give feedback. They also replied to my feedback so I'm happy with the service too !

I love the color and the durability of course my hair grows very quickly so the whites are coming through but the color did not fade. I am ready to get my new one by the Week of thanksgiving.
