I like to try and keep my hair color as close to what it was like when I was younger. My stylist at esalon is great. Every time that I need or want to tweak my color, and trust me I do it often, I just send a note trying to explain what it is that I would like done and she gets back to me with the new color tweak and help.

I love how well the color matches what I really want. The mixology at esalon is on point. I feel like I can get super quality color without having to pay the extreme price of hair salons. It is easy to use and even though I’m not perfect at applying the end result is still beautiful!!!:). Highly recommended.
I purchased my custom color in July but didn’t use it until yesterday (12/5/2024). The products weren’t harsh, they smelled good and my hair color looks great! I was a little skeptical choosing my own color however I did pretty good. I wanted my hair a little lighter and my gray covered up. I got my hair cut in a curly pixie style and I love the results. I’ve shared with a couple of people. I’m excited to try it again but with a bolder color. I would love some highlights in my natural hair but for now I’ll see how long this color lasts! Thank you to my colorist for getting it right the first time!

I'm very happy with my new hair color. I went with demi-permanent soft black/intense pearl, and I'm considering going with permanent for my next order. The instructions were easy to follow.
I'd recommend having your partner, or a family member or friend, as a second pair of hands.
Since inflation is getting all of us,I decided to try e- salon to salon on going to get my hair colored.

I am so impressed with this colour!! The instructions were fab, and it was so easy to apply. Everything i needed was included in the box. The results are amazing! The colour was absolutely spot on, and the shine is utterly amazing! I only coloured my hair today so can't comment on how long it will last, but so far I'm so happy.
My first color I didn’t think was dark enough it was a beautiful color just wanted a darker color . These guys made it right they darkened my shade and sent it right out no charge . Now I’m obsessed. With this beautiful shade .. I will be a long time customer for sure ..
I had a really good experience buying the color kit - I obtained my desired color and my hair was really soft afterwards. I love that you get a little shampoo and conditioner with the kit.

I'm such a fan! For me, hair dye always works, as I have naturally blonde hair (for real) and I always keep in mind if I have previously treated and porosity issues with overtreated hair. I do wish the color chart had the color tones (B,b,V, p, C etc) because it helps me make a color selection.
I really love my personal color that was formulated specially for me. I was a little nervous trying a new color being a new eSalon customer but I will definitely order again!
Love this product! I was an every 5 week color and cut at the salon for over 20 years. It's to expensive these days for that. So I decided let's try it. Best money I ever invested and time saving in your home. Super easy and the stylist were spot on for color and my concern the highlights were way to light. So they added a toner to it after the color. Awesome auburn color. Have received tons of compliments since we did it! Highly recommend esalon!

I've been using this product for years now and I get compliments on my hair color frequently. I've grown accustomed to the high quality and great customer support services when needed. I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular salon and pay full price for hair color again.
I loved the color that they sent me. It was what I asked for and it did a great job coloring. I just probably need to leave it on a little longer for my grays to be better saturated they kept in touch to see if I needed any changes, so it’ll be great to see what they come up with.
I have used eSalon's Custom Color Set twice now, and my hair is like five years younger!! It was dry and brittle as can happen in one's late 50's, especially when using OTC light blonde color for years. It is silky smooth, the color is even and a wonderful light blonde that is not orangey or brassy. I love it and will continue to use eSalon! Thanks for the lift!!
My hair has been growing pretty white naturally so mixed with light blonde hair color I had been using seemed to wash out my facial coloring. After a few consultations with my ESalon colorist, I was able to get a wonderful change. I believe I will keep my new color for many months!
Better than over-the-counter hair coloring by miles!

I love the richness of color and how well it is lasting! And my hair feels like my hair, not like someone else's because the processing impacts the texture and shine. The first custom color was a little too dark for me and eSalon is adjusting it for my next application to give me the right color match. I'm very happy with these products!
I really like the colour and the formula and my hair loved it. Looks healthy and shiny and soft. The delivery was slightly delayed but the representative and stylist were very polite. 👍🏻 10/10 would recommend 😊

The quality is great, and I love the extras they include in the color kits. It's easy to adjust my color whenever I want. I'm never going back to drugstore color!
13 March 2016: love my new hair colour. I got my first gray hair at the tender age of 19! So I started colouring my hair in my twenties. Believe me, in the last 18 years I have tried a lot of different products, companies and colours.
This is the best I have tried yet! Over the just over a year that I have been using esalon, I started with one colour, but after a few months I felt that it was a little brassy, so wrote and explained this, and the stylist read it, looked at my photos and changed the colour slightly, changed the written instructions slightly and then it was perfect!
I feel sure that as my hair, unfortunately, changes more and more to gray/white and as my skin tone changes with it, I can continue to find the right colour that suits me with the help from esalon.
It's a bit on the expensive side, compared to supermarket hair dye, but compared to a hair salon, it's a rather good price!
UPDATE: December 2021: I have now used e-salon for close to 7 years! With all my grey hair it is getting more and more difficult to do my hair in the back (I have thick hair!) and I sometimes have to ask my husband to help me, but I still manage to colour my hair by myself most of the time and for a lot less that if I asked my hairdresser to do it. So to look at it that way e-salon has saved me a lot of money over the almost 7 years and kept me looking great.
The thing I love the most is that it is not a "flat" colour, but it keeps the natural high-lights (or in my case the greys...My own "naturally grown" high-lights) and give a natural looking nuanced colour. Many people are surprised when they find out that I colour my hair (I mean...I just turned 50, so...???) because it does not look flat as box colour normally do and some costly hairdresser colours too. It looks natural!!!
Update November 2024: next month I have 10 years anniversary with eSalon! That should tell you all there is to tell, right? I still love it!

I was nervous at first about getting the correct color. I talked to a colorist and felt much better about it. I used it yesterday and the color is rich and my hair is shiny and soft. I recently moved from California to Maryland. I used to pay my stylist $85 for color and cut. Here everything is separate. Cut is $79. With hair color it’s over $200 and the larger the amount the larger the tip too. The person who washes your hair also gets a small tip. ESalon is saving me a lot of money. Thank you!
The monthly kit is a pleasure to use! It has everything ready to make coloring at home fun! It's the little things, like the two sets of gloves neatly boxed, all the packets of extras and my favorite is the sticker to hold the directions on the mirror that says "Let me hold that for you": is so sweet! I feel very pampered using this complete and customized designed box just for me!
This was by far the best experience I could’ve hoped for! Ditching salon visits for Demi permanent and doing this in the comfort of my home when I feel it’s needed is the best thing I could’ve done for myself. Self care is a must! Not only was I nervous the color wouldn’t match my natural I am blown away to know the color is exactly like my natural!!

I’ve had three packages arrive. The first colour wasn’t quite right so they changed it for me free of charge the second was awesome! Perfect glossy colour. The way the packaging comes with instructions and they put your name on the bottle. It just felt really luxurious.

I sent a picture of my natural hair color when I was much younger. They sent me my personalized color with my name printed on it. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had a great coloring experience without any of the nasty smell. There was more than enough color to cover my long hair. Customer service were so friendly and helpful! They helped me to get exactly the color I wanted when it didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted the first time. The whole kit has very clear instructions and so many helpful extras like gloves and stain remover and mini shampoo. The dye also smells really nice and leaves my hair shiny which is a nice bonus. Could not recommend more.
My hair feels healthy even at the four weeks mark. I am very happy with my choice. I am trying to get to my original hair color. Needs a little twigging. Overall products rock.

My color match was copper ash....the match is absolutely beautiful! The touch of copper brings out a brown hue that closely resembles my natural color which is in the dark blonde range.

I was VERY skeptical about trying an online hair color dye! I moved from NYC to Coastal NC and was nervous about trying a new hair colorist. As a natural red head it was very hard to get just the right shade by Stacy,(from NYC) got it perfect but, now I live 700 miles away!! So long story short I sent Esalon pictures and my formula a (asked Stacy for my dye formula and number) and tried it. I am really happy with the results. during the summer I ask them to make it a shade lighter and that's perfect too. Definitely recommend trying it
I have been using box dyes for decades. This product is revolutionary! The system to select your colour is so easy, help is available from your personal stylist if needs be. The packaging and instructions are so beautiful and easy. The attention to detail is insane. Even down to easy open shampoo and conditioner (the times I've been in the shower washing off colour and I can't open the supplied conditioner!) The product washed out easily even with dark down.
The results...oh my.. it's multi tonal.. dark brown with hints of mahogany but also ash, and feels so healthy.

I would not go anywhere else for my colour; they listen to your requests, they advise best for you, the colours put together for me are the best my hair has been, including condition, I have used Esalon for several years now and cannot recommend enough, and have to my friends and family many many times.
I am obsessed! The colour is really beautiful, deep and natural looking. Last batch was of the same colour and of course I had some hair growth during these six weeks and it bothered me before with other products as was quite striking difference between virgin hair and coloured, so I really never had patience to wait for six weeks. This time it was different, it looked well till the day I got the package. I just love the process so much that didn’t want to wait any longer. But a thought came to my mind that if some day I decide to grow out my own colour, it would be quite painless just to give up colouring.
