have always had my hair coloured in a salon due to me being made redundant i can't afford to any more. This cour is salon quality and nobody has said anything which is good as they think I'm still having it coured at a salon
The base color provided good grey coverage. The ends color, matched well and did not color my ends too dark. The kit comes with everything described and shipped quickly. My hair takes to red easily and this is a good balance of medium brown, ash and mahogany. Only complaint and this could be my hair is that as it fades, my hair turns a slight orange/red hue.
This is the third kit I have received and used. It is so easy! The color matches well and to add more coverage to the gray it was suggested I leave the color on for 40 minutes. The product does not make my hair dry either. Why have I been spending a huge amount of money have a professional color my hair when it is beyond simple to do it yourself.
I colored my hair last night for the first time with eSalon. It may be a little dark but the coverage is great! I usually have grays that won't take color but this time NO gray!
I started using this system after major surgery in Nov. 2017. Since I couldn't make it out to pick up my hair color, I decided to try this product. I fell in love with the color choice, the easy way to order and of course it coming right to your door!!! I did stop my order for a little while, but I always knew that I would return and order again. I have recommended this to many friends to try. The only reason I would stop using this product is if one day I decide to embrace my greys...... it will be a while before I do that!! Thank you for making this process effortless. I was kind of unsure about the color combination to choose. I included the ratio my hair stylist normally uses and it came out absolutely perfect!! So I was kind of scared because the color was a lot darker than usual when it was developing but like I said...,perfect.
What could be better than having your own customised hair colour made for you and sent to your door?
They also do great shampoos, conditioners, masks and highlights.

I never considered coloring my hair until my Hairdresser gave me a very short hair cut without asking. Then came the Pandemic. It was learn to do your hair or have grey roots. After the first coloring I called and spoke to a specialist. The color was close but needed a slight adjustment. They were able to match the color done by my former hairdresser.
No lost time to travel , or waiting because the colorist is behind schedule and no tipping or Christmas gifts..
One suggestion to those of you who are new to this. My bathroom had white cabinets and a very light tile floor. I bought a shower curtain liner to protect the cabinets and floor. No clean up, just pick up the shower curtain and put away until next month.
Just like salon quality, colour lasts just as long as salon colouring with respect to hiding the gray. Takes 5 weeks to receive if being shipped to Canada
We are strictly sheltering, so I’ve now used esalon for three home root recolorings, and have been overall satisfied. Each time becomes easier and less time consuming, The color and gray root coverage are good, though the texture of my hair doesn’t seem as normal healthy as usual.
I was hesitant to try eSalon, but after a few pesky grays showed up right when salons in Los Angeles shutdown again, I was desperate for for quality color. Sure, I could’ve gone for store bought color, but after spending my early adulthood experimenting with said colors, it can be quite damaging and fades.
Thanks to eSalon, I’m trying to figure out how to breakup with my colorist. Shocking, yes. The online process was simple and fast. So simple, I did doubt what I was to receive, but when the when the color and materials arrived, I felt at ease. The coloring was stupid easy and took way less time than being in the actual salon. At first, I thought my roots were too dark, but everything blended in a couple of days and I’ve received so many compliments on my dark golden brown hue (with no sneaky grays!).
Some tips: I’m messy! eSalon provided a stain guard to put around the face and neck - so helpful! They also provided a wipe to remove any color marks (I used this on my Porcelain sink to remove some of my messiness). I did my coloring topless in my bathroom with an old towel wrapped around my shoulders. This old towel is now my “color towel.” The permanent product will stain garments, so don’t color in anything you wish to keep spotless. I also got some color spots on my tile floor. If this happens, treat immediately! I used alcohol to get the spots off.
You won’t regret this! Happy coloring!

I have to color every four weeks. With other products, made think about quitting my dye job. esalon hair coloring system makes me look forward to coloring my hair. My hair doesn’t feel dried out. The color is great every time. I have the option of changing my color with a snap of a picture and an esalon color expert without leaving the house
So, I'm one of those people who likes to change up their hair frequently. It's kind of like an adventure to me. So I appreciate a company that's willing to ride shotgun while we're traveling :-).
What I love most about eSalon is that I can change it up as many times as I want and know that I'm getting professional expertise on whatever choice I make next. That addresses the biggest obstacle for the non-professional: how to get from where you are to where you'd like to go. ESalon takes the guesswork out and puts great results in my hands!
I keep getting so many compliments and people don't believe me when I say I did it myself. They keep asking me where did I get it done at and how could I afford the price I paid for it? I keep telling them it's from esalon and they still don't believe me when I showed them the box. So next time I am going to have about 20 friends over to show them and to get them signed up so I can get free stuff from esalon. Always Samantha Jane
I’m not sure what has changed, but ever since you thickened you’re hair color, the color is not as vibrant, my hair feels damaged and the grey at my temples started showing after five washes...FIVE!

I used to get my hair coloured in-salon but Covid-19 made me look for home colour kits. E-Salon’s advert popped up and I was hooked. A sensible way to choose a colour based on my current colour, hair type and natural shade. Any questions were answered and advised on by Tamara, who pointed me in the right direction. The first kit is complete with necessary accessories and others can be added. Which I did. The instructions are clear, and complete with a sticky label to put them up on your mirror or wall. The results are excellent, even though I say it myself (as do my friends). I’m back at the salon now, but only for cuts - not colour!
I was very impressed how My color was adjusted after I complained that the second time it came out a little too dark for me. Furthermore, the charges for the previous color were waved. Now my color is beautiful. Thank you!
Without giving any pictures for the colorist to go by, they were almost spot on. I am satisfied for now but made a few tweaks for next time. The directions are easy to follow and the application process simple.
I always had my hair professional colored every 4 weeks, beautiful results but a little costly. When pandemic struck and salons were closed and stay at home orders put in place, I went 3 months without color and boy was my hair gray!!!! Since I am retired and wasn't going anywhere it was not too big of a deal. When I saw the ad for eSalon I was intrigued and decided to try. I was not overly enthused about the prospect of coloring my own hair but the price was good, figured what did I have to lose (except hopefully the gray). Personally for me the color is great and the money I'm saving from doing at home is wonderful. I admit I don't look forward to coloring my hair, I find it quite messy and time consuming and I do miss some spots, but that's my fault. Other than that I am thankful there is a company such as eSalon with what seems to be good products, with great instructions on the process and great help available if need be for questions or to help with a color change issue. Auto delivery is awesome and can be adjusted if you find you need quicker or want to delay. Now if only they could somehow give me a haircut I'd be set.
My hair is silky, the color is beautiful and vibrant, and I can hide my grays whenever I want. Oh yah and I save about $100 a month. What's not to love?
I was a little skeptical. Box colors rarely turn out well. I will usually go to a salon, but it can get pricy. So, I thought, oh why not? Totally. Worth. It! I wasn't sure what to expect by answering some questions. Then I got asked for a picture of my hair. Then when they sent me the recommendation, I was thinking... hm, maybe not exactly what I was looking for, but still. Then after I did it, I couldn't believe the color. It turned out even better than I was expecting. It was just lovely. It was like, omg, how did they do that? I got alot of compliments on it. If you are on the fence, Try It! It was SO easy, and everything you need is there. Brad Mondo even had his mom try it and he isn't a fan of "do it at home on your own box color." He Totally LOVED it. I'm even trying out a new color soon and can not wait!
My grays are super difficult to color and even when it sticks upon coloring it doesn’t stick around for long at my temples, maybe for a few days, at least with other products I’ve used.
Not with this product. It works!
I love the tailored color and a little things included in the kit that makes the whole process easier.

This pandemic really put my hair into a tizzy. I had been using a root only product but my hair started looking pretty ratty so I decided to try eSalon. I’m hooked. My eSalon hair actually looks better than my salon job.
Say goodbye to your $125,000 colorist. what a miracle to discover eSalon. They didn't pay me to write this. I really am impressed with how they blended the color for me using three different color aspects.
For years, my colorists have worked hard to tweak my formula to recreate my natural strawberry-blonde color with copper highlights but, when I wasn't able to see my colorist due to the Pandemic, I tried e-salon. I wasn't expecting to get the positive results that I did but, even from the first time using my custom color, my hair color ended up looked as good as when my colorist would do it. My husband, in fact, felt it looked better. Anyhow, so I can't say enough about how happy I am to find salon results in a do-it-yourself product. My only complaint is that the chemical smell can get quite strong when you're in the process of applying the color, so a well ventilated place for doing this is a must.
I was unsure about buying another hair dye, I had completely grown out old dyes and had nearly a full head of grey hair. I had seen quite a few recommendations for esalon so thought I would give it a try, it was very easy to set up my profile, and add what I want, the package turned up very quickly, but I still waited a few days before using it as I was still unsure.
I took the plunge today, the step by step instructions are easy to follow. Yes it got messy, but I was using soft black dye (as close to my natural pre grey as I'm going to get) the colour covered my grey really well (there was a lot of it) in certain light you can still see a little glimmer of grey but that makes the colour look more natural to me, there was plenty of dye to cover my thick hair, and some left over to do the after dye wash, I never had that with other dyes. The dye itself doesn't smell too strong, and the after shampoo and conditioner smell fantastic and left my hair feeling really soft and gave it a lovely soft shine
I'm looking forward to getting my next one in 10 weeks, and will be recommending this company to my friends and family
Last time I went to the salon, she missed up my hair color and charged me $160. I contacted eSalon team, They saved my life by sending me the right color to fix my hair
covers my grey very well. My hair has little to no visible damage. The color match is always spot on. I'd give five stars but the developer smell is a little overwhelming. Happy with everything else.
I've had only good experiences with eSalon colorists when I've requested a modification to my color. This was my second time using this color, and it is spot-on!
I'm omitting the 5th star not because of the color set, but because the whole process is too messy for me. I don't like using my shower to rinse my head. Twisty and uncomfortable!
Amazing. I’m 30 and have greys. I plan to eventually accept them but for now this is the bees knees. I found this brand and sent a picture of my greys and what I wanted. They sent a set of dye for greys and the rest of my hair. My only complaint is I wish they could use a measuring formula for grey and non-grey so I don’t throw away half a bottle of both dyes. I just tried this so this is a first impression review. I’ll add another review in a few weeks to see how it holds up but so far so good.
I wanted to have a bit of pink going through my hair but the stylist said you’d have to go to a salon to have that done, I’m usually blonde but this is darker than I usually go but you can see the pink in it, I’m over the moon, thank you very much .
Really appreciate everything about this company. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my "kit" has not included the small brush used to apply the hair color. When I tried to order one to come with my next set, which I don't mind paying for since it costs less than $2, the response was that it was already included. But it has not been included since the first order. Otherwise, I will use this product until I get tired of doing my own hair color but ESalon is saving me a ton of money. Thank you.
My hair has a great amount of stubborn gray hair. Other box products did not cover the gray sufficiently. E salon Hair color effectively covers my gray and leaves my hair silky soft and smooth.

For the first time, I felt that my scalp was it as itchy and burning and so far my hair look healthy. The colour was perfect. I do want to change my colour wat lighter, but that has to be when quarantine is over.
E Salon is easy to deal with. Product is wonderful on my very fine hair and grey roots are covered well. Hair feels great too.They ship promptly but the international mailing takes too long during the Covid. So I had to suspend my purchases.
It has been many years since I colored my hair at home. I usually went to the hair salon between 3-4 weeks. The coronavirus has made that impossible due to lock-downs. I was in touch with the Esalon colorist and ordered the appropriate color. I was hesitant at first but it came out beautifully. I enjoy the convenience of having people that I can get in touch with if I have a question. That is impossible if you purchase a kit from the drug store.
I am happy with the way this color turned out. My colorist, Illiana, was very helpful in honing down my automated selection to something that suited my needs better. However, my two year old son saw it and said "is that purple, mama?" so not sure I got exactly the effect I was looking for :P
My 1st order was a bit darker than i wanted cause i just said i wanted medium golden brown. No ones fault but mine. and order made more to what i wanted because i told them what changes i wanted. I am looking forward to order number 3!
I have been using e-salon three times. I like the color, it fits exactly what I asked for.
I like the packaging and ease of mixing. I find the process itself difficult when you’re doing it on yourself. And I regret not having anyway to contact one of the colorist team member when you have a specific question.
I have not gone to a salon for color in years! I do go for hair cuts. My custom hair color is the best. Lasts throughout multiple washings. Living on a mini farm, I have to wash my hair a lot.
I can't recommend this hair dye enough I had bought a shop dye and it turned out so dark so when I looked at this I was very skeptical if it would work ok but it was perfect and really lifted my colour would highly recommend and I will never go back
I used box color for years then it didn’t seem to color my grey very well. I started to do it at the salon. It lasted 5 weeks and looked great but I always cringed at the cost. After years of this I decided to go back to doing it myself. The store box wasn’t cutting it. Then I saw an ad for esalon.com. I tried it. Simple to order. I get my professional color without all the cost. I think it looks fabulous and I also enjoy doing it myself. 😊
I have been struggling with tones that I don't like for many years and finally have the ability to control the color that I want without having to spend a fortune at the salon.
My first order did not color my greys completely. However, when I reached out to the eSalon team, they adjusted it and also added some mahogany to give it some depth! In fact they even sent me a free ends refresher to even out the color!
All my greys are perfectly hidden ( I have a lot!!) and I love the shine it has now!
I have to mention- the team is awesome and their advice is brilliant!
A side note-- if you are ordering from outside US, it does take a little over 3 weeks for the package to arrive (due to covid, not to fault anyone! ) so you should take that into account
I was afraid to get my color darker, because my grays could be more visible, but this is another thing!!!!! My hair is dark, with minimum gray (90% less!) And i look younger!
I’ve been going to salons for at least 30 years for my hair color. I’m a redhead and while I have loved some of the salon outcomes, others were not so good. During this pandemic my gray really came out so I had read about eSalon and decided to give it a try. I sent them a picture of my hair color from one of my “good” outcomes at a salon. I was so impressed with all the tools, instructions and the sample shampoo and conditioner that I received from eSalon. Well not only did the color come out beautiful and covered my gray, the roots were not a different color as had been my experience so many times. This is my second time using my eSalon color which I had them tweak a little and it was perfect! I may never visit a salon again for color - just haircuts and manicure/pedicure! I highly recommend eSalon👍!
As a natural redhead, it is hard to find a color that you can be proud of. I was able to blend a color into my roots that appeared natural. It did not scream she is going gray. I can not thank you enough!
it took a few different attempts to find the perfect color (all my fault). I have the perfect shade of brown with ash undertones and I will continue to purchase my touch up and all over color from ESCALON.

I ordered light blonde cool tone. My hair is totally gray and very thin. I wear wigs but still am wanting to nourish my hair, hoping it will thicken. I had shaved it all off and decided to let it grow. Have a few months to get it to one length.
The reason I want to color my hair with this product is 1st to get my hair healthy. 2nd, stray hairs sneak out and my husband informed me I needed to make it match...I agree wholeheartedly!
I'm 65 and don't want to look like I don't know what I'm doing!
I was at a loss at what to use...then I read about this product and decided to try it...I had nothing to lose.
This is my first purchase from this company. It leaves my hair soft...something I never felt before with over the counter products or professional stylists. The color is too light so I contacted my personal hair colorist. She suggested going to a Cool Medium Blonde next month. I agreed. What I love is I can talk it over with my hair color professional and make changes if I want to.
Love the personal attention!
This product is so much cheaper than a hair stylist, which I did many times in the past.

I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a salon for color again. My esalon colorist got my color down packed and I love it. I’ve never had any success with over the counter hair color. However with esalon my hair color is perfect.
Loved the product - the color was perfect (just needed a little more ash) but otherwise couldn’t be more pleased. And I loved the shampoo/conditioner that was included in the kit.

I love the product and the set that it comes with, just wish I could find a colour I love
First off the presentation of how the kit comes is absolutely perfect. This may seem like a silly thing to mention, but it really shows the quality of what you’re getting. I felt like I was using salon grade dye while mixing the developer and color before I started. Very happy with my final color also. One and only complaint that I have is that the stain guard, stain remover, shampoo, and conditioner had added artificial fragrance. Being that I have allergies and reactive skin to these types of scents, I would have appreciated an option for either fragrance free or something more natural. The fumes from the dye (which were expected—it is hair dye after all) along with the artificial fragrances were too much for myself.
I just loved my colour, thank you for getting it so spot on! My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that there was nowhere near enough shampoo and conditioner for my thick hair. With that said I was happy to use my own and will continue to use esalon colour.
This was my first time ordering, and I would have to say that I'm very pleased with the color. I need to adjust the shade, but other than that, my hair has not faded at all.
I found this hair colour very good and also the service from eSalon, I would recommend it to any one who wants to colour their hair but does not want to by a box colour.

I love this product and it seems to last longer than the salon for me. I also had a reaction to the salon colour but not with this I’m really happy with my colour.
I was a little skeptical ordering a hair color on line .I wasn't sure if all of the questions asked if I gave them the right answer about my present hair color ,was my present color med or dark etc. Thank goodness you folks know what you're doing, the color that came was great. I followed the directions ,how to apply where to start and timing. The only thing is I will leave the color on a little longer where I am most gray coverage was good but some gray has started to show thru. I went for a cut a few days after coloring and my hairdresser suggested a couple of extra minutes
