I’ve ordered a color trying to get out of the bore medium brown and they designed a medium brown with copper-reddish base, I do like it but I really want my hair red. So, I let the team know about it, waiting for my next shipment to see if I can gradually go to red. I really like the products, the hair after the process look amazingly healthy. Here in Japan there aren’t too many places that you can have a great color among language barrier, so I’ll keep my esalon experience every month. And the best, covered my grays!!!!
I tried lots of store bought hair color products, but I all ended up being so frustrated, go to the hair salon many times but it's always giving me headache whatever ingredients or color formula they made. Until I found eSalon and from there it's makes my hair back to life!! Bouncing and Shine!! :)
I expected the color to be a little more lighter, but I love the fact that it was very easy to handle, and it covered all my greys!!
Loved the smell of the shampoo & conditioner and that it had plenty in one packet. I'd like to adjust the color on my next order but overall it went really well.

I'm normally don't do reviews ....but with that being said I am so pleased with my results I wanted to share my story . I lost all my hair due to chemotherapy 2 years ago and when my hair grew back it was not healthy and I hated the color which was totally different than before
So I went to a salon and after being excited to finally have enough hair to color I ended up very upset and disappointed the color washed out in less than 2 weeks and I was told because of my (medical issues ) there was nothing they could do So I decided I would give eSalon a try
I am beyond thrilled my hair has not been this soft or shiny in years the color is exactly what I wanted and it was so easy to do myself

Colorist added 2 bottles of each for 2 rounds, so a total of 3 rounds. Getting ready to receive 3rd round n i am pleased with the color. It did not fade like before
I have darker hair so the gray in the front is VERY noticeable. I love how fully this hair dye covers it all. I do wish it would last longer but the reality is, it's so much better than store bought dye.
I have to admit that I was a little taken aback when I got an email informing me that my stylist had made a change to my color. I "thought" that I knew what I was doing. So, ok, fine, go ahead and send what you think I need. Well, needless to say, my stylist, Danielle S. knew exactly what my hair needed!!! The color was easy to apply, I loved the specific directions for roots vs ends. My hair is curly and dry, the other brand of color I had been using took up to 45 minutes to process and only made the ends worse! I was still a little nervous as to what the actual color would turn out to be, but I immediately loved it! And on top of that, I still ( 3 weeks later) get daily compliments on my beautiful red hair. Definitely five stars for eSalon!!
This hair color seemed to last longer covering those stubborn gray. I just had to get back on the plan. I have missed eSalon and I for one appreciate the expertise!
I can actually say that I've become better at coloring my hair. I love that the color stays on longer than before and I can be excited when my next color arrives because it arrives "just in time" I need to color my hair. I love this product, it doesn't smell and it's so easy. I just wish you'd insert more "removal wipes" in the box, 1 isn't enough - more like 3 would be good.
Born a natural redhead, but with the red fading out in my 30s, I've been trying to color my hair so that it's as close as possible to my natural color but have had little luck. Until now. The colorist who prepares my formula gets it spot-on. Even my hairstylist told me that my hair color looks great--and she said that when I was almost 2 months out from having colored it last.
I have lighter sandy blonde hair and asked for a "shiny" metallic golden light blonde. I cant afford to keep going to the salon to add highlights and lowlights to attain my desired look and box Drug Store options were too "flat" or monotone looking. I saw eSalon all the time on Pinterest showcasing red hair so I was leery to try it. The light blondes that they offered seemed limited but I finally decided to take the plunge and ordered. I got a Lightest Blonde with Pearl in in and it turned out looking Salon professional. The smell washed completely out and my dry hair smells great (drug store brands leave my hair smelling chemically treated for a couple of days so this was a huge plus). My hair feels soft and hydrated as well. So I definitely leave a "I LOVE IT" review!
The color is great but what I am most happy about is that I now know when to dye my hair. I used to wait too long- now I just use the product within a few days of receiving it. This way I don't have to think about it.
At first I thought it was a little bit too red and not the copper red I usually look for, but my husband likes it a lot and it has toned down a bit now, so I am very happy with this color. Thanks!
First time trying esalon and wasn't sure how the color would turn out based on not actually seeing someone. They NAILED it and it looks totally natural.
I really like my new redder hair color. My only issue is that red fades so much faster than other colors. When I used a more blond color, I fell in love with it every time. No fading, great coverage, and it lasted!!!
I have always had to go darker to avoid brassiness and frying my hair. With the online feedback tool (and the extensive initial input questionaire) and some minor adjustments, I now have the best color I have had that is closest to my natural color (without grays of course).
I love the color, but it seems to make the gray lighter. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I section, use small strands at a time, I do the crown area first, do you have any suggestions for the next color. Thank you.
i really love my new color i am naturally brunette and wanted something new so i went for a red brown and i love it looks great !!!! the only thing i noticed s that my hair seems a little dryer than it normally does after i color it but that being said i did have to color my whole head because i was changing colors instead of only doing the roots !!! very very pleased with my results other than that

We finally got the color right on the last try. When I went to a hairdresser, it came out different every time, and it was not necessarily a good thing. My hair is soft and the color is beautiful. Thank you for adding some youth to my appearance.
I did not think I would ever see this color again! I have a strange shade of hair that you cannot find in a bottle, I was wrong, you matched my shade exactly! My hair is so soft I have not had in years, I only gave you 4 out of 5 stars because I wanted to see how it lasts. The price is comprible to the box but so much better all around, just wish they had a comb attachment.
This was a great experience, I loved this product and found the step by step instructions very easy to navigate through. I’m not to happy about the coverage for my grey roots, maybe I need to dial that in a little better. Overall I love using esalon.
I began noticing grey hair when I was 21 and began coloring my hair with over the counter box color. Two years ago, I began cycling through various salons where I regularly left with disappointing results. My favorite Natch Beaut Podcaster, Jackie Johnson kept talking about how much she loved eSalon so I thought I would give it a go. I could tell the company takes great pride in customizing your experience based on coloring history, hair color/type/texture, and desired results. I was nervous because in the past, my hair has always pulled red and I have had “hot roots” on more than one occasion. I included this information on my profile and hoped it would be considered when my formulation was created. When I received the package, all of the pieces were laid out in an organized manner with clear directions for each step. The first thing that surprised me was the quality of all the pieces sent. The cape was made of a thick material that would protect my clothing without making me feel like I was in a sauna. I assumed the clips would do little for my insanely thick hair but I was grossly mistaken! They are so strong and grip so well, I have actually used them to clip off the sections when curling my hair. I was also pleasantly surprised by the smell of the coloring solution and skin protectant (no harsh chemical smell). My color turned out a beautiful shade of dark brown with no red undertones and I was finally free from the dreaded “hot root” dilemma. I feel so relieved that I finally have a long term solution to coloring my hair at home on my own schedule at an affordable price. If you are on the fence about coloring your own hair with eSalon, please give it a shot. Their customer service is top notch and I promise you will end up with a color you love and shiny hair that feels nourished! Take the leap, you will not regret it!

I am about 50% gray and no matter what brand I bought, even those that said 100% gray coverage, it would NEVER cover all my gray hair. It was always more like 40% plus my hair would turn out brassy, I was told to buy colors with Ash in them, it still didn't help but, this brand with adjustments from their colorist didn't make my hair red. I have never been happier with a hair dye. I am now a loyal customer!
It is a very different product from the boxed color you buy from the store. it is a higher quality that "sticks" on contact with the hair and dies it right away... i like it a lot!
I ordered this product because I saw it had a lot of great reviews. I was not disappointed in the least! Even though the picture I sent was not of the highest quality, I wrote in my notes that my skin is on the pink side, and they sent the perfect shade! I haven't coloured my hair that much because I'm a natural blonde, and it had gone silvery blonde, which was not a bad color, but I like to experiment with hair dye. My neighbor dyed it for me, because I'm really not proficient in the "girly arts," and she was very impressed by the quality of the product, and the way it turned out. I highly recommend this product. Plus, I would suggest buying the apron, it's worth every penny, too.
I have been using this for several years. I got on a tight budget and went back to the cheap stuff. Never again will I fall away from this company. This will always be my color for my hair.
The last mix for light Ash Blond was much better than the darker shade before. I feel like in a couple more colorings, I should get the results I have been working towards.
You have a wide variety of colors and shades to choose from, these can always be tweaked. After using the color my hair looked and felt healthier then when I started.
I was a bit unsure as to how my hair colour would turn out as it was the first time that I have used this product, but I could not be more delighted. My colour is great and my hair is shiny and feels healthy and the greys are gone!. The only thing was the colour was a little bit darker than I wanted but ESalon have corrected this for me and made the colour lighter so I am looking forward to using my new colour next time.
Love the color and it was easy to do. My only problem continues to be that my red fades really quickly! But I'm loving how much money I'm saving by doing it myself AND being able to rely on getting the same color every time!
I was really happy with how the colour held in my hair. My hair was lighter on the bottom and its now one colour. It's been 4 weeks and the colour still looks great. At first it was darker than I would have liked but it faded to the right shade after 2 or 3 washes. I will say that the application process was harder than I anticipated. I will get better with practice and is no fault of eSalon :) My hair is really long right now so that made it tricky for me... Thanks eSalon!
I really like the color and the additional end product. It had a touch of red or warmth to it that I did not like initially , but it got better after a couple washings. I really like the color now in the hair has good texture
I found I had plenty solution but I wanted a darker colour but was recommended to stay light but I feel my white roots still show. But now ordering darker colour hope this one is a better match for me
I would definitely give this product 5 stars. I will admit that it came out a bit darker than I thought it would, but I still see the red hues and the quality of my hair came out better than before dying it!

This is the best hair coloring I have tried, including from a salon. A little messier to use than store-bought products I've tried, but the quality makes it worth it.
It was perfect for my hair. My hair was light brown with highlights and it covered it exactly how I wanted. It was very easy to do yourself and the instructions were very helpful. Only thing I would like different is on when you color the rest of your hair it doesn’t tell you to put your hair back or leave it down so was unsure on that. But other than that I love it
I luv that it covers the gray hair real good first time around. Usually when I dye my hair at home (Sally's Beauty hair product) as soon as I wash out the dye, you can still see some gray around the hairline . I was hoping to go a little longer before next touch up with Esalon. It'll be 3 weeks (10/27) since I did my hair and already need to touch up. I don't know if 3 weeks is standard.
The precious box I received contained only one set of hair color, so maybe that was the reason I didn’t get the color I was expecting. For the box that was mailed in September, I receive two different color set (roots and hair length) and I had exactly the color and grey cover that I wanted.
The roots+ends kit worked perfectly!
But have never experienced the satisfaction with a hair care system as I have with e-Salon. Using the line of color, shampoo, conditioner, and styling products, my hair does not turn an ugly orange after a few weeks. Thank you, I’ll never go back.
I waited a bit longer before using the next shipment of color and it proved to be the right thing to do. All the old color was cut off the day before and the color is awesome. I love it and it looks so natural. I hope it lasts as long as the previous one!
Still getting used to the color, not sure if I want to tweak it. Didn't like the color at first because it was darker than my present color(-I forgot that I had requested darker).

I've used many different hair colors and then started going to different hair salons but after trying eSalon I will never use anything else. I LOVE eSalon.
I highly recommend to anyone & everyone I talk to. This has definitely made my life so much easier. My order is always perfect & there when I need it. My stylist always listens, answers my questions, and/or adjusts my color when needed. As of this month I've been ordering from this company for a full year and before starting I didn't believe I would ever find a company that actually made a color that my hair would hold for a month. I had tried 1/2 the salons in town & almost all store bought hair colors. Absolutely nothing would hold longer than 2-3 weeks if that. Now I can go at least 5 weeks!!! Not to mention my hair is actually healthy again! I can't say enough about how wonderful this product is!!!
I loved the way the kit came and the added bonus included. I am used to a thicker, creamier colour but had no problem working with what was sent. I love the outcome. The shine and feel of my hair. There was plenty of product included. I do find that I am still seeing colour bleed out of my hair if I take a bath even a couple of weeks and many washes later.
Edit: Having had another couple of kits now, I want to update and correct. I think it might have just been the lighting in the bathroom. I don't see colour bleeding even soaking in the tub a week or two after my last colour. I love the blend and love the convenience but I will leave it at 4 stars because of the price... I just wish it was a bit cheaper... It can be hard to justify.
I am still exploring, but loving the process of finding my perfect color. I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on hair color treatments from NYC (salons professing to be the most elite) to some very prestigious salons on the west coast. Usually with disappointing results in either the color or equally as important the texture. I took the path of least resistant and started using store bought products to use at home. Every brand, color you name it I tried it. Grateful I fell upon an ad for eSalon and haven't looked back since. #1 objective to color the gray has been accomplished, it lasts much longer (at least 10 days longer than any other product or treatment I have had in the past) and I love the texture of my hair..it doesn't feel treated. Love the whole process, easy application, custom coloring is the best and convenience you can't beat! Bravo!
I ordered after seeing a review from a blog I read. When I received my shipment I opened the box to find one of my bottles of dye had leaked all over! I sent an email not in hopes for a refund or replacement just to let them know so maybe there was a way to prevent it in the future. Well to my utter shock, they refunded and shipped me a new order! I am absolutely beyond impressed with the care this company has for its clients! When I recieved my new box I colored my hair and I will tell you my hair looks better now than when I get my hair done at the salon! I am thinking about going a little darker next time but I am waiting to see if my hair fades at all first! Loving it so far!!! ♥️
I love the color but my hair felt dry and brittle afterwards. And yes i followed the directions exactly. And yes I used the shampoo and conditioner included. I had some conditioner left from another hair color kit and it helped tremendously. Are there any suggestions?
It's nice to be able to sit in a chair and have someone do all of the coloring for you, but that's the only benefit of going to a salon! I saved time, scheduling, and $$ using eSalon and thought the results were just as good or better than paying a professional.
I'm sorry to say this but I'm allergic to the product. I loved the color. It was super easy to use and I was a newbie to coloring my own hair. I'm so sorry I won't be able to use it again. You provide a great product and great service.
