I love this product and it seems to last longer than the salon for me. I also had a reaction to the salon colour but not with this I’m really happy with my colour.

I was a little skeptical ordering a hair color on line .I wasn't sure if all of the questions asked if I gave them the right answer about my present hair color ,was my present color med or dark etc. Thank goodness you folks know what you're doing, the color that came was great. I followed the directions ,how to apply where to start and timing. The only thing is I will leave the color on a little longer where I am most gray coverage was good but some gray has started to show thru. I went for a cut a few days after coloring and my hairdresser suggested a couple of extra minutes

Liked the color better than the previous color used by my hairdresser. Instructions good. It lasted only 3 to 4 weeks which was 1 week sooner than I was used to.

Quelques reflets roux pendant quelques jours aux racines mais qui se sont estompés.
Jolie couleur emplies de reflets blonds. Je n'ai pas osé modifié ma seconde commande j'espère que la seconde aura le même effet sachant qu'en dessous de la première j'avais des mèches blondes. On verra bien😉.
Est il possible de recevoir une photo d'une cliente ayant opté pour le blond doré plutôt que le blond beige afin de voir la différence ?

Hello! The color kit was great! Your stylist matched my color option perfectly. My 12 year old daughter applied it based off your instructions with ease. The color was great. But lasted only about 3 weeks. Looks like I need another application but worried the frequent applications will damage my hair.

So on a impulse during quarantine I bought a box dye and dyed my hair bright red and I feel in love with it. Then I found esalon after looking for shampoo, conditioner and red tint. After the second box dye to top up my roots I learnt about esalon doing custom hair dye. The red is now so incredibly vibrant I thought it was before but how wrong I was! This is now on a repeat order for every 6 weeks and I will not be divulging in any other dye set.
Take it from a complete dye virgin do the esalon custom colour quiz and you will not regret it!

I like the creamier color application a lot. Also, the shampoo and conditioner are in a much better package. I can actually open them in the shower instead of having to use scissors to cut them open. Additionally, I like the shampoo and conditioner MUCH MUCH better. The last stuff made my hair feel gloopy and dirty. I'd have to use my own shampoo and conditioner instead. I did only get one pair of gloves in my packet this time.

My color was applied with the help of my daughter, as I have an injured left arm. Color turned out to be a match of the natural color I had in my 40's. I am older than that now.

My color came out exactly like my natural red before I started coloring it years ago, which is what I was looking for. Because it is more of the red than blond, it doesn't seem to last as long as I'd hoped. Next time, I plan to adjust the color a little more blond to see if it helps 🤞🤞

When I received my first order, I was surprised to find there were little extras that I did not expect. Personalized instructions were easy to follow and the color turned out beautifully. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I only received 1 pair of gloves instead of 2 and one box said it included classic shampoo and conditioner, but they were not there. I did however have the anti aging shampoo and conditioner so I used them instead and the smell is fresh and clean, not like the color and conditioner in the box dyes. I am very pleased!

I used to love my box color light golden copper brown. But the older I was, the less time between coloring that it covered the gray. And if I went out in the sun one time, it faded. I'm a busy mom, I can't reapply color every 2 weeks. I was really scared to try a red color over the internet but eSalon matched what I was using spot on! Not only that, but it covers the gray (and the white!) and there is such a depth and richness to it that I never realized I was missing out on! I LOVE IT!! And now NO ONE mistakes me for the grandma instead of the mom!

I love how my hair felt afterwards. Before my hair was either great coloring but I didn't like how it felt or it felt great but color was weak. This product you get both, great color and great hair.

After using this I may never get my hair done professionally again. Regular box colors normally dry my hair out but this was great. When I wash my hair I’m in awe over how soft it is (even softer than when professionally done), I was worried I might get some color on my pillow case or even see it wash out quick but nope it still looks & feels great

I loved the esalon set, instructions and packaging. Everything looked neat, clean and easy to follow. Color looks red on my hair. I was hoping for a violet tone and wanted to stay away from red/copper. Product is great but color needs to be adjusted.

My hair has Soo many colors in with it being red. I looked at boxed hair dyed and there was nothing even close to my hair color. Sent esalon a pic and they matched it pretty much exact.

I never liked doing home color, but e-salon has gotten me through the quarantine without a hint if gray. One shipment was lost and this was handled expeditiously by your Customer Service team. My hair is the exact color I always use and in fact covers my gray better than the salon.

I love this hair colour kit. I don’t colour my hair that often and for a while I stopped all together. Then, I came across the eSalon and I loved my hair again. My natural hair is mousey brown with grey streaks all around the crown, medium length and fine texture.
This colour covers grey hair well and it turns my hair into a very natural, rich dark brown tones. I found that my hair gets a bit brassy after a few washes. To try and fix this, I’m modifying my hair colour kit to add more ash. I hope that will neutralizes the warm tones.
Overall, fantastic product, great personal packaging and easy instructions. I’m able colour my own hair or with a help from a friend, either way, great results that add confidence and make me smile.

the color is what I expected it came out nice and shiny. The only thing is while you are in the
Process it does have a heavy smell, but it goes way when you wash it. I still gave it a 5 star.
It covered my gray beautifully...

My hair is short, thin, and very light brown mixed with gray. I simply wanted the grays to look blond. Although I'm in my 70s I have always been afraid to use permanent color because roots will show so quickly with my haircut. My hair stylist agrees with me and told me to keep doing it this way. I've used eSalon since 2016 and have tweaked the color to be lighter and more neutral. It works very well and is simple to do. The only reason it's just 4 stars is that i wish it would last a little longer. Otherwise it's great.

Oh my fabulous product better than my hairdresser and much more natural....okay it stinks on application but then that’s it and where as before I’ve smelt the after undertones of bleach you get no lingering odours from this product...eagerly waiting for next next treatment to arrive now

I hate to admit it because I love my stylist, but the shelter in place forced me to seek at-home alternatives to the salon. I was super impressed with the color and how long it lasted. I will definitely keep using this!

I have never ventured to color my own hair, and approached this project with trepidation. Salons were all closed, and my roots were getting more and more mousy. When I ordered this there was no understanding of when salons here in the East would reopen safely. It took me over two weeks after the arrival of the kit to gather enough courage to give it a go, and I am pleasantly surprised. I will order again, especially since, although opening this coming week, I do not feel comfortable going to a salon given current state of the pandemic.

First time using the root touch-up although I have previously used the overall color from ESalon.
My hair is much longer - and grayer- since my last use, and I had a difficult time sectioning it, as described in the accompanying brochure. I was concerned that I brushed product on to more than the roots (especially at the back of my head where I couldn't see what I was doing!) But, no worries.....my hair looks
like I came straight out of the salon and the light blonde color covered the gray very well.

Ich wurde durch eine Werbung im Internet auf eSalon aufmerksam, es lass sich alles sehr gut, na dachte ich, ob das was ist !
Ich probierte es aus , Haarfarbe auswählen, Wunsch Haarfarbe ausgesucht, Ein Foto von meiner jetzigen Haarfarbe hochgeladen, Zack bestellt! Nach kurzer Zeit bekam ich eine email von einer Coloristin Namens Alina, Sie riet mir von der Dunklen Farbe ab und versprach einen besseren Ton für mich ausgewählt zu haben! Ich war wieder skeptisch, nun gut , nach ca 1 Woche kam das Päckchen!
Was mich freute war , das auf der Flasche tatsächlich mein Name Stand , das Päckchen machte einen sehr professionellen Eindruck!
Dann ging es ans Ansatz färben, schritt für schritt befolgte ich die Anleitung, es klappte alles super!
Was soll ich sagen, es war exakt mein Ton, wirklich zu 100% getroffen! Ich war wirklich sprachlos, selbst beim Frieseur hatte ich nie dieses Glück !
Ich bleib jetzt bei eSalon, zum Friseur geh ich nur noch zum schneiden!

Okay I was so scared and skeptical about doing this on my own. Clipping each section was kinda difficult. Having help would have been nice! Total time to prep and color was about an hour. Long story short I love my color. Much better than what it was! Thank you esalon ❤️

I loved the scent it’s light the tone and color I should have asked for darker I have very very difficult agrees to cover I worked in the salon for 18 years in Manhattan so I am I know how difficult it is to color grays I left it on a little longer in the front and in the back of my neck line just to see if it will take better and it did but all my hair grows quickly so of course and him I will not be ordering again because it’s a bit too pricey $25 is a bit much but I have recommended it to all my friends

I have never coloured my own hair until lockdown which forced me to do so, I had a couple of attempts which were unsuccessful, I decided to check the internet for a better solution and came across esalon, I have today tried the product, did a quick search on utube fora clear picture on how to apply the colour, got very stressed during the process, splashed it on my white walls in the bathroom (Flash with bleach) removed it and hey presto the colour is perfect, no roots, no grey and more importantly no sore scalp (Which is very sensitive). Will I continue, the jury is out as I got wound up, if you are a calm person I would thoroughly recommend you save loads of cash and colour your own hair.

I never colored my own hair.
Was hesitant but after 3 months I was a mess! Lots of grey, washed out color from last salon visit along with my natural brown hair.

I used to travel for a living...had my hair done at some of the best salons in the world. Once you have had excellent cut and color, it is hard to find that level of service where you may choose to live/semi-retire. Finally found a good stylist...she gets it concerning cut and style. Her salon uses an excellent color - only one brand - used it before. When the gray really starts coming in - more than 40% - the basic color product you used to use won't do. I thought my hair was simply growing incredibly fast - roots obvious after six days to a week. No, the product doesn't cover gray. eSalon covers gray - it stays on/holds - and leaves your hair in great shape. When the pandemic happened/salons closed, I tried a box color from the drugstore. Okay color - but it fried my hair. Tried eSalon after two ladies recommended it (Didn't look like they colored their hair! Younger women - one with beautiful red hair and the other a very natural looking light blonde). Had my hair trimmed and tried eSalon. A great product. Very professional service. They can adjust it for you personally - in case it is a not exactly what you want. So glad I don't have to freak out about finding a colorist...or traveling 100 miles or more to find a pro. Comes right to your door. I honestly highly recommend eSalon.

Like most of us, getting to the salon wasn't possible. After years of professional hair care, doing it through the internet seemed scary. But this was the perfect time to try since no one would see it if it went wrong, right? So I tried eSalon, and I was ANGRY!! ANGRY that no one could see how good I looked!! OMG! So my salon called me to let me know that they were open. I declined my next appointment. I am saving sooo much money and look just as good as if I spent the $100 I was spending every 5 weeks.

I was very concerned because I had never colored my own hair but after 11 weeks I felt compelled to give it a try. I made decisions with all of the options given for color choices. I also sent a picture of the roots I needed covered. Upon receiving my personal color created from Stephanie, I still was concerned knowIng my husband was going to be my colorist with a shaky hand. His concern was not necessary because between my color choice, complimented by Stephanie’s expertise, & my husbands loving efforts covered my roots beautifully & almost a month later is still just perfect. During this COVID nightmare, I have not been able to get to my hairstylist. So I was naturally reluctant to do something online. I sent in a picture and chose a color. Well, the colorist at esalon got back to me and they said the color I chose was too light. Well, now I have to trust someone I have never seen nor have they seen me, to choose my color. The color they chose was perfect!!! I mean perfect! I just had to do my roots and you honestly can't see where my color ends and the esalon color begins! I love my hair stylist and have been going to her for years, but I have to say, esalon is amazing. My stylist may be moving in the fall, so I plan on using the esalon color and do it myself!

1st time user, great experience. I have very dk brown hair with grey starting, so I went a little cautious and didn’t use any permanent die. I really wanted the color correct, for me that means no red tones. Color was perfect but my greys are showing though a little quicker than I’d hoped. I’ve never dyed my hair previously and throughout my life had always gone to expensive salons to get my hair dyed. Lockdown and constantly using sticky cover-up sprays to hide my grey hair roots made me to reconsider whether I could dye my own hair at home but had heard so many horror stories about people buying boxed dye and things not going to plan with disastrous results that I put it out of my mind. After finding e salon online, I took the plunge and uploaded a very recent photo of myself and gave details of the blonde/golden colour that I wanted to cover my grey roots whilst also blending in with the dyed ash type faded blonde I already had. After I received my kit, I was so nervous at first that I very nearly didn’t go ahead but so glad I changed my mind and eventually took the plunge. I’m glad that I used the expertise of the e salon colourists to mix the colour instead of buying boxed dye kits. I can honestly say that the colour I received from E salon/ Sabrina B is absolutely perfect for me and just what I requested and wanted and blends/matches my existing dyed blonde hair whilst also including more warmth which is what I hoped for. My hair has been left feeling soft and shiny and looks the best that it has in years. Also it’s a colour that I’ve always tried to attain when I visited salons in the past and failed. If anything good has come out of lockdown, it’s finding this company with their excellent products and colourists. There’s no going back to the salon now. Thank you Sabrina x

My hair is returning after nearly a year post-chemo. My once beautiful blonde hair came back curly and FULL of gray - and now dark! I needed something just to cover grays and boost my self-confidence. This was amazing and I’ve received numerous compliments. Trying to slowly go lighter until I’m close to my normal 1.5 years ago!

Although it is not the colour that I would have chosen, it has turned out nice. I was wanting a dark brown, to match my normal hair colour, But my stylist thought that it would be better to go darker gradually. I am pleased that this was suggested to me. I am happy with the colour, it has coloured evenly.
A suggestion would be to put the patch test in the colouring instructions, as this was missed out because I did not open the shampoo box until the end. Also, another suggestion, why cant you add a small tub of the colour to be patch tested.

This was my first time trying this hair dye and after I had ordered the color, I had second thoughts on if it were going to be what I even really wanted. My hair had tints of red that wouldn’t go away. I had picked the dark golden brown that was recommended to me and was afraid that it may be too dark which usually makes me feel like my hair looks unnatural. Once it came, I dyed my hair disregarding the concerns I had and to my surprise the color is vibrant and natural looking instantly. The golden tints came through and I see no red that I had. I will be ordering my dye from here going forward!

I was very leery about coloring my own hair. The one other time I did it with store products was horrible. Since this pandemic, the last I had my hair colored was back in Jan. I figured why not give it a try. My hair was limp and pretty grey under layers. The color came out great! Will not be returning to a salon! I don’t usually review, but you owe it too yourself to try this product!

Love the color, more so than when I had my stylist color my hair.
Waited a week to color my hair as I was a little worried.
As it turned out I didn't color the roots very well. My husband did a better job on the back of my head. Still very happy with the overall results.
Next time I will use a bowl and the brush instead of using the bottle, found it a little hard getting enough product on the roots from the bottle.

The colour has come out really nice and unlike the last home dye I used which was supposedly dark brown and came out like a goth, it matches exactly what I wanted, suits my skin tone, I can tell it was made for me, and my husband says looks a nice natural colour. Pleased all round! The only reason I am giving it a 4 not a 5 is that I can still see a few greys but maybe that was down to me rather than the dye.

So I am a bit of a diva when it comes to my hair and because of covid I needed for the first time to do it myself. It was really easy and the instructions were good. I didn't use their shampoo/conditioner because I have really sensitive skin to soaps but the condition of my hair after was so much better than usual so I think there must be something really conditioning in the colour. I went from blonde to red and the colour turned out pretty close to how I was expecting it to look. The only thing is that the ends are a lot lighter than the roots so the colour may not have been matched perfectly. I'll fix it but I'm just happy it looks ok and didn't ruin my hair. People have said it looks better now than when I was paying a lot of money at the salon so I'll definitely continue with it.

I was a bit sceptical about trying this but thought I might as well give it a go, as I colour my own hair anyway and it would be nice to get a nice even colour and if i didn't try it I would never know. I uploaded lots of pictures of my hair from all different angles and lifting the hair up so that the stylists could see what my colour was like all over. A few days after my order, I received an email telling me that they had changed my colour to something different to what I had chosen as it didn't seem to fit my photos. When it arrived, it was so easy to apply and the instructions were really good and easy to follow. You get everything you would ever need to colour your hair. When I took the colour off, I was amazed at the lovely vibrant colour, I must say I really loved it, its the best colour my hair has been in years. I'm so glad I gave it a go, I don't think I could change now.

Love the color - gave 4 stars because it didn't cover all the gray like I expected, however I will be ordering again soon and hopefully I will be able to rate it with five stars! Loved the color and my hair did not dry out like it does with store brand colors!

I love the color, just need the toner to be increased to a higher volume (Developer), I think it is volume 10 (?), so maybe increase to 20?, as I am still getting hot roots, otherwise love the product. I have requested with a picture showing hot roots, but was not changed. If changed, would be perfect! Thank you!

Thought I would try Esalon during lockdown due to not being able to get my hair coloured at the hairdressers. I wasn’t disappointed! I thought the overall colour was a lovely brown with hints of lighter golden tones coming through, it’s turned out darker than I expected but that’s probably my fault selecting the shade incorrectly, love it anyway. Also covered my stubborn grey hair very well, there’s nothing worse than dying your hair & still be able to see hints of grey! I’m very happy with the product, packaging, instructions & service. Thanks.

My hairdressser advised the colour she had been using prior to lockdown (3n).
Using that number I ordered a set to just cover grey roots.
Great communication on delivery details.
Received set and found it easy to use.
I did have an initial query regarding where the health & Saftey leaflet was with details on patch test (turns out it was in one of the little boxes). I emailed back my personal stylist but no response which delayed me from using. However when I called I was helped straight away. I think there is obviously delays due to Covid but as I got help on phone this is not an issue. Perhaps try this first as its a freephone number on landline (0800) and during these times its understandable rep's may be stretched.
The application was easy but there was a load of the product left over which seems a bit of a waste. I could easily have used for a second and third top up. It would be great if they could advise ratios for the two products you mix so you can perhaps use just half for a root touch up. However the colour came out great, Absolutely perfect match. Will definitely buy again.

I love the color, I have a lot of hair and the amount sent was enough. I amazed about that but my stubborn little hairs near the cheeks, did not want to cover with the color. I expect that the color lasts at least 3 weeks

I have an mistake in choose the color of my roots but its ok the one color i try. Now i want to try another one because i want another color in my roots with streaks in all my hair.I like how quickly the roots take the color and how my hair look when i finish them. My hair look soft, shine, and healthy. I loved.
