Are you kidding me. Could no longer afford going to my hair stylist anymore. Tried over the counter color kits for about a ear, then found this. Went to her to get my hair cut, and she was amazed. Said, "you done good girl",,,,,
The colour is great and it covers grey well. The colour lasts longer than most hair dyes and my grey does not return for several weeks. My hair does not feel as nice and smooth and shiny immediately after dying it but this only lasts 24-48 hours.

This was by far the scariest yet ended up being the best decision - ordering my hair color from esalon.
It lasts longer, ( I feel kinda like a pro when my box arrives ) and i never have to think, "oh dear, i forgot my dye at the store". every 7 weeks it just shows up. I pay far less annually compared to a store bought product. The store bought, I would have to do every 5 or 6 weeks.
My stylists, all of them, have commented "I love your color job, who?" all i say is "esalon.com"
I really love the team behind this product. I sent them a picture of my bright red hair color, told them what I wanted, and to my surprise, they PERFECTLY matched it. I was extremely happy with the fact that with red being THE HARDEST color to get to stick, whenever I washed it there wasn't much bleeding. Unfortunately, after a month, the color had faded to an ugly nasty orange color. I've gotten better results from using straight bright red color pigments like found in SPARKS then I had from using this. I'm going to try one more time but have added the color gloss this time. Hoping for better results. Will update when I know.
I love this product mostly because it don't have the strong smell after coloring your hair.... But, the hair conditioner could be a little better... hair seems a bit course afterwards. Still the best of all the hair coloring products I've used
I love the customizable color! It matched my roots perfectly. This color is so much better (it covers better and lasts longer) than those you can get at the drugstore. My only reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is the amount I end up throwing away. I need probably half the amount provided and it kills me to waste it... I wish there were different "size" options.
I love this company You can talk to them if there's a problem they do respond quickly the only problem was the color I was so excited, I thought I explained what I wanted .But it just turned into darker Brown than my hair was I lost all my red highlights I was looking for a lighter color .I was so upset. But The company and the other products of received are great the conditioner I use excellent the dye used was even excellence it just wasn't the color I still get complimented on my hair even though it's not the color I was really excited though hoping that maybe This would work but I'm hoping maybe the next one will
I used to spend about $100 a month on my hair.I am not a person who can really afford to do that. But at the same time, I didn't really want to have a full head of gray hair. I had tried store brand hair color, but one day one of my students told me that I looked like Oprah. I love Oprah, but I am a white girl with brown hair! When I finally saw an ad for eSalon, I decided to try it, and I have never looked back. It costs me about 20 bucks a month to do my hair and I do it the exact same way my salon lady used to do it. I am very happy with the quality and service of this product .
I HAVENT GOTTEN TO USE SECOND SHIPMENT YET BUT I HAVE UPCOMING SURGERY ON MY LEFT SHOULDER AND TO TOP IT OFF HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO MY RIGHT AS WELL I DONT HAVE ANYONE TO DO THIS FOR ME SO I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SHUT MY PLAN OFF RECOVERY FOR SURGERY IS 4 TO 6 MONTHS SO IM STUCK
I so apologize for not writing a review sooner! e-Salon truly saved my hair coloring dilemma! After losing my job during the great recession, I had to cut professional hair and nail care out of my budget. I was 58 yrs old at the time and decided to let my auburn hair grow out to what would be my now natural grey color. It grew out as a very washed out blonde color that took away all vibrancy to my face. I then started buying the commercial "color boxes" L'Oréal/Clairol/etc. My satisfaction level with these products was 0. I found e-Salon on Facebook, cut a small portion of my younger son's hair (he has my same hair color), and matched it to the color that I am using to this day. I just turned 65 and still have my beautiful shade of auburn. It's a very consistent product and costs a fraction of having it colored at a salon. I thank the professionals at e-Salon that mix my color and send it to me when I ask. Bravo!
This is my 3rd order. The first I placed was too dark. A small adjustment was made, and now my color is dialed in to my natural color, covering the grey. Delivery is convenient.

My first batch of hair dye didn't make a huge difference in mellowing out my extreme ombre (which is understandable). I contacted esalon, they made some adjustments, and the color came out beautifully.
eSalon color gave a more natural finish to my hair than my previous color. I wish it cost less, but it seems to last longer than my previous color too.
Ok, so I am unwaged and choosing to commit to an online delivery service was a big deal. Initially I was going to accept one delivery under the special offer available and then cancel. I am unwaged, a single parent and never spend money on myself. But this hair colour is so lovely, multi tonal and easy to apply it has become my one luxury ! My only issue is even though I said I have very long hair ( past waist length ) , I do not have enough conditioner .I will keep getting this as long as I am able .
I know I'm not getting any younger but I at least want to do something with myself to make me feel young especially when my grey hair starts showing on the top of my head and plus this is like going to the Salon in your own home I just wish the colorist can come with it.
I tried it the first time and didn't really like the color as it faded. So, I had re-customized and it turned out perfect. I have really stubborn grays, but this does a wonderful job of covering. It's just like I left the salon, but only cheaper. Way cheaper. I will stick to buying my color from eSalon.
Yes, we finally got the color right, its great, been thru several deaths in family, so unable to keep up with my hair coloring. Need to change the length between deliveries. Thanks!!
I was scared to color my hair. I didn't think someone could take my picture and look at my hair and face and to decide what color my hair should be. I chose the color , but they wrote back that they thought it wouldn't look the best that they could custom mix one to look much better. Do I let them. I was so scared to color my hair cause we are talking about red here. I have had some bad salon experiences, but this person only had a picture. So I did it. When I was done and looked in the mirror I almost cried. I couldn't believe my eyes. The color was perfect!
I was spending hundreds of dollars on having my hair colored at the salon. As my grey started to become more prevalent I noticed roots showing up every three weeks. Not wanting to spend my kids' college tuition at the salon, I went weeks with white roots. This is not pretty at 47 years old.
Then my friend told me about eSalon. I saw an ad on Facebook and placed an order. I uploaded pictures and wrote to them about why I started going to the salon and stopped using box color (my hair was falling out and damaged).
I was so impressed with my first color! I have salon highlights so I just did my roots with a brush. Wow. There are so many dimensions to my color. My hair is healthier and has more shine than ever! I love it.
For some reason I did not receive my second order. The eSalon customer service team was extremely responsive over email, and they even called me! They sent a new kit free of charge.

First my hair turned out awesome than in couple weeks later my greys started showing again in the roots. Therefore I had to use hair color from home. Not completely satisfied or I don't know how often do I have to color my hair with your product? I love the shampoo and conditioner that I purchased from you.
The new color that was made for my ends turned out so beautiful!! I think that if you could add just a touch more of the red to deepen the color, it would be the perfect tone I am looking for. The only thing I have a question about is that it seems to fade so quickly. Is there a product that I should be using to help maintain the color longer? I decreased the weeks between coloring to only 6 weeks, but if there is a way to help maintain the color, I would appreciate the help.
I was leary of dying my hair due to the fact that I am Native American and the traditional ways is to let the grey grow. It is a sign of wisdom. I was proud of my grey but one day the man I'm involved with and I were in the bathroom at the same time and I saw he had no grey then I looked in the mirror at myself and saw how OLD my "wisdom" made me look compared to him (he's only a year younger than me) and I decided right then that I was going to do something about it. So I mixed up my coloring that was designed for me by ESalon and took the bull by the horns!! I could never be any more happy and satisfied with the way it turned out. And I am still wise because using my color from ESalon was a very wise choice. Thank you ESalon and my personal colorist for making me look younger and feel beautiful. ESALON YOU ROCK!!!!!
My first-order very happy with it but I think I want to go a little lighter add some caramel in it is it possible? The lighter I think so but I'll probably have to get my stylist friend to do the addition of caramel tones so far very happy and all the product seem very good.
My hair was virgin, not coloured for years. I was getting some greys but wanted to keep my natural colour. I had been putting off dying my hair as the thought of going into a store and choosing a colour off the shelf was quite daunting.
I stumbled upon eSalon from an advert on an article and thought it was an awesome concept, so I looked at some reviews and decided to give it a go.
I uploaded a few pics of my hair to eSalon and ordered a colour that I thought was a match. Cyndii from the Color + Care Team at eSalon emailed me to let me know they thought I had chosen a colour that was at least 2 shades darker than my hair so they had amended my order to a more flattering shade.
When I received and used the product I couldn't believe it; a perfect colour match.

This time around it seemed like shipping took a little longer, but maybe I was just more anxious.
I'm happy with the color mostly. A little darker brown than I was hoping for, but what covered my highlights (and yes, I know it says not to cover your highlights but I wanted the dimensions) turned out beautiful and the color i was hoping for. So, I guess overall I'm happy!
With tip, my one-process color would cost me $108 every five weeks. I felt so guilty about spending all that money on my hair, but it always looked so fabulous and consistently natural! I attempted at-home coloring a couple of times to save money, but it was so obviously not the same that my husband told me cost was not an issue... hint, hint... So I went back to a colorist. When he saw the eSalon box come in one day, he asked me why I would stop using a professional again. Little did he know I had been using eSalon for months! At-home coloring... husband-approved! ...and guilty conscience saved!
I like the color that was customized by eSalon for me. The product seemed to fade a little less quickly than the regular store bought hair colors. It covered my gray really well, however, due to growth, I still had to use the root touch up after about four weeks.
Great customer service. Initially I did not receive the first shipment in a timely manner (ordered during the holiday season and shipping took longer than normal). I contacted eSalon's customer service and they overnighted me a replacement product immediately.
I would recommend this product.
I had my color changed-up a bit--was tired of med brown & hi-lights. You mixed me up a mahogany copper med brown---love it! Not a drastic change, but some!
Like the color. It brought up the color nicely on my head but the longer, lower hair appears darker than the head and scalp. Much better than the last time and some of the red under tones can still be seen. Much better this time ,but would like the ends to be closer in color to match my head

I would like to have a touch more red (mahogany ) as summer approaches. Noticed my silver-gray in front pops back out after about 2 weeks. Any cure for that? Thanks!
My first greys appeared at aged 19, which is now over 2 decades ago! Over the years I have experimented - lots! My preference settled on a semi that I apply at home because I need to do it every 5-6 weeks and can't afford the time and money to visit the salons that often! I like the semi as it leaves my long fine hair very shiny and I don't get a build up of colour on the length. So I have tried the 'medium brown' semi from esalon. At first I was a bit bamboozled with all the bottles, sachets and bits n pieces but followed instructions. I liked the application on dry hair as I can section it easier, loved the brush as I could really target my grey fringes. It did feel rough and sticky when I started rinsing but that was improved with the shampoo and even more with conditioner. I did not need the remover as the barrier cream worked well. Very pleased with over all colour and condition of hair after treatment and would order again.
I decided to get my hair colored at the salon now because doing it myself is just such a pain. Although, it does cost more than twice as much as using esalon color. When I was using this color though, I really loved it. The color was vibrant and didn't fade quickly as long as I took care of it with proper color protecting products. Reds are tough to keep from fading. This one did well when like I said, I used professional hair care products with it and not drug store products. FYI, with reds, it helps to not wash as often and wash in cold water.
I was skeptical and nervous to try eSalon but gave it a try. I have 3 different natural shades of hair and it has changed as I've gotten older. The store brands were harsh on my hair and going to the salon is expensive and hard to schedule. My hair has been especially dry this winter even though I conditioned it often and like I said, the store box color was hard on my hair. I took the survey to create my color profile and uploaded two different pictures of my hair to show the color stylist my different shades and what I wanted.
After opening my first shipment I was impressed with the personalization and easy, clear instructions. It came with everything I needed. Then using the hair color I thought it had a very nice smell. Well, I absolutely LOVE my color. It is rich and exactly right for me! It is shiny. It was gentle on my hair. I was so happy with it I went online and purchased some of the shampoo and conditioner products. I am very happy with those. My color has lasted much longer than a store brand box color and I have gotten compliments on my hair. It actually has improved in health. It is so soft and one of my friend's and my mom both said they noticed my hair looked great, asking me what I've done.
I made one small adjustment sending a message to the color stylist, not expecting an answer for a couple days. I received a response within a few hours. It's wonderful customer service.
I will continue to use eSalon and have already recommended it on Facebook to my friends and family. And I will soon be helping my mom complete the color profile online. I know that will be something fun for us to do together.

Let me correct that, exactly what I needed.. want & need are 2 different things. I wanted a cheaper alternative to the salons and I needed my color to be unified, rich, natural looking and I got it.
The color is beautiful! Though I will not lie I am no good at dying my own hair. It is very thick and hard to tell if I've covered everything, especially in the back. But that is nothing against the product! The product is beautiful and the color is staying strong!
I have been using pros and box color for years. Pros never got my color quite right. It was always too green (brown) or too copper or too violet. Also, the toll pro and box color took on my already fine hair was really dramatic. Coloring would severely dry out and tangle my fine hair to that point that would delay touch ups because I didn't want to lose so much hair so often. eSalon has changed all that! The two different color mixes for roots and ends is brilliant. Color rinses out in the shower twice as fast as any box color I have ever used. Also, the Lock It and Love It products made comb out a breeze. I probably lost about 1/20th of the hair I usually lose post color - maybe even less. I am very favorably impressed by the quality and color match. Will report back with how long color lasted.
I have been using esalon for a couple years now. Initially I wanted the same exact color I was getting from over the counter product (brown with a nod to gold), which they matched well. But after a year, I decided to tweak the color with a smack of red but I was scared that the amount would be too liberal. They heard my concerns and added just a smidge of it and I LOVE IT. In fact, the small difference was actually noticed by others. They did not notice the color change but I got a lot of compliments stating my skin looked more healthy. I knew that it was the hair color change and find my self continuing to value this product. Also, as my hair grew longer, I had to color more frequently. It was easy to increase the frequency, which I appreciated. I recently got my hair cut taking 12 inches off. I now need to slow down the frequency and feel confident that I can easily request it. Color is beautiful because I worked with them to ensure it. If the color is not exactly what you want, work with them. Shine is there too. Customer service is excellent.
I have dark hair so the ugly, old greys pop up kind of quickly but esalon hair dye does a great job of covering and remaining in your hair. I can actually get away with waiting to dye again for 8 weeks.

I love the color and the feel of my hair after coloring, it's not dry and brittle!! even before you use conditioner on it!!! I just wish there was a little bit more! I do have fine hair but it's long and thičk!!
Just like many other women, the older you get, gray comes in. therefore hair color becomes more frequent and your typical box just doesn't work, and the salon just is too expensive. It's easy to use and easy to order. They put together a great matchup of color for me!!
