After 3 tries, you got it right! It matches my natural hair color, which is what I wanted (to cover gray). My only issue is that it fades. That is my fault for not using a color safe shampoo. I am using a shampoo for thinning hair. By the way, biotin supplements are wonderful for thinning hair.
Love the colour and how it left my hair. It's a little more than I want to pay as getting close to salon price with postage added,which is why I knocked a star off.
Color was nice and so natural. The colorist assisted me in correcting the color so it would meet my needs.My only disappointment in the product was that some the grey still showed thru and the color wasn't as shiny as I thought it would be. On the bright side, eSalon listened to me and are working to fine tune my next order. I was surprised how quick the color arrived. Great job eSaon.
Having just used my second colour with the adjustment I requested I can recommend E salon. I have found it easy to use and the results are just what I wanted. No need to worry about 're ordering its all done for you and the customer care is excellent. My only criticism is the stain remover wipe is not really enough for me as I apply the colour myself I do get rather a lot of colour on my face but that's more to do with me being messy but an extra wipe would be good. Thanks to all at e salon for the great service.
My god im in love with this dye normally id need 2 bottles of shop brought dye but my esalon colour covers my whole hair and theres a little left still never will go back be cool if done some funky colours

I have wavy curly hair and some damage has been done to it over the years with my experimentation with color and then having it fixed at the salons for an enormous price. I am skeptical because most products claim they cover grey but a few washes later, bam there they are again. So when I went on this web site and they have color charts and you select the color of your roots and the color the rest of your hair is and of course what color you would like it to be; I was like this is cool, but will it work? I also added a picture of what my hair looked like, which was horrible at the time but I did it any way! I could not believe how cheap the prices were and added a shampoo and conditioner to go with. When I got the box, it was like Christmas, everything was included and they give you step by step instructions on what to do so your not staring at everything going, " what the"? Any way the solution is easy on your hair and does not burn and makes your hair feel so silky smooth. My color was a copper red color and you know how much red washes out of your hair with every wash? Well, not so with this product. The second time I washed my hair I had a tiny bit of red come out and after that nothing. The color is still holding. It makes your hair shiny, vibrant, and like you got it proffessionaly done right in your own home and at a price that you can afford to pay again and again. That's the beauty of it too they let you set up how many weeks in between shipments. 4,6,8,12 it's up to you. I love them and I will never go back to anything else. Thanks E Salon
I gave 4 stars for my 'Made for You' only because it is almost perfect! Love the perfect color every time I color my hair. For a 5-star rating, it could be better without all the harsh chemicals, e.g. aluminum, etc. Hopefully Esalon is working on making available an aluminum-free product in the future!
This hair color has staying power! My hair just doesn't hold color especially after a day or two in the sun but it's been 6 weeks and still beautiful!!

I really like having a great color already to mix like a box kind, but mixed for me. It covered my gray/white really good. I need to keep practicing application to get it in my hair and not on the floor and to find all of my white spots.
so I waited 2 months to redye my hair with this newest color - as of right now I really like it and am hoping the the color holds true! Awesome coverage
Although sometimes I wish there was more than one stain remover packet with each kit ;-) hint hint - there is enough product to dye my hair and my kids hair ( and mine is LONG ( to the middle of my back )
Being a deep auburn redhead, it is not easy to get the color that I've lost over the years. We started out with some burgundy, copper and medium brown. It was too dark and not enough of the rich deep auburn I've had. So with some tweeking, we have medium brown, more copper, and a "touch" of red.....I "kind of" want to tweek a little more, but this is so near perfect, I'm not willing to risk it right now. It looks so natural that no one even notices when I color. I absolutely love it and I love getting to write in and tweek and give my opinion. You guys are fabulous!!!!
I'm thinking we are there. It's lightened up really a little quick, but it always does. Still using the color correct shampoo(shimmer lights). Don't know what we can do about that. What do you think?
I find the esalon hair colour a great stop gap as I travel a lot. I would say that it covers root regrowth for a bit more than a week after that I need to go to my hairdresser. I have the semi as the permanent would be too harsh so that's probably why it does'nt last so long. I much prefer it to an over the counter semi.
This is my honest review. Having tried out this product I have decided to stick with my usual brand of Natural Dark Blonde. I found this formula to very strong in smell and a bit more damaging to my hair. Also having tried out two colours my usual brand seems to be a much closer match for my own colour hair and less harmful as well.
I love the color and feel and it's so easy to apply.. But it only lasted about 10 days before the gray was showing where I colored. Awaiting a response to see what the fix is! Nice color and feel.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because I'm in a process of slow lightening of my color, and I think I have about 3 or 4 shades still to go. I'm saving that 5, hopefully, for the final lighter color. ESalon has so far been wonderful about blending my color without running into the orange or greenish color I've gotten from products I tried in the past, so I'm pleased with how this is working. Also, the product is not difficult to apply or to clean up afterwards. They have it all covered with the timer and the stain remover, and everything you need in a starter kit. I'm now on my 3rd change. & happy!
I don't know how you do it but this is the best coloring experience I have ever had. I have always bought retail commercial hair colors and dyed it myself at home. It is always the same. I pick out my light blond product ,sit for 45 minutes and come out with a kind of buff all over color except where I have very silver grey over and around my ear and that shows through a bit here and there. After about a week it starts to fade and within 3 weeks it is more white then blond all over.
This hair color is the exact color I was shown online. Exactly. It's very natural looking with high lights and there is absolutely no silver showing through anywhere. It is absolutely beautiful. I am buying fade resistant hair care products tomorrow! If this color lasts me 8 weeks without washing completely away you will have a customer for life. I just cannot believe how beautiful and natural this is. I could not be happier with this product unless maybe there was a diamond in the box also. I am recommending this to everyone I know.
It took a couple of months to get just the right mix of color and grey coverage but I have finally found it!! This time the shine and color and coverage all seem to come together.
I was very impressed at how the colorist at eSalon, by just a few pictures and a short description of my hair in my own words, was able to imagine and create nearly the same combination of base color and highlights that my favorite colorist had derived for me in person! The only reason for the four stars is because the roots came out too light. But this was partially my doing by not emphasizing that the crown of my head is nearly entirely white. Otherwise, I was really satisfied and received many compliments on my hair since by people who were like "Whaaaaa???!!!" when I explained it was eSalon--no joke!
I HAVE BECOME VERY ILL WITH AN ILLNESS THAT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO MAKE IT TO MY HAIR APPOINTMENTS. I HAVE NOT COLORED MY HAIR IN OVER 30 YEARS SO I WAS APPREHENSIVE BUT DECIDED TO ORDER FROM eSALON AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. MY COLOR IS ACTUALLY BETTER AND TO THINK I WAS PAYING ALMOST $200 AND NOW MY HAIR LOOKS BETTER AND THE PRICE IS NOT EVEN AN ISSUE. LOVE, LOVE LOVE IT!
I love this product and the color that was picked for me. Maybe it's just my hair that doesn't seem to hold color as long as it should. But the Greys come back within a week or two. By week 4 I have lots of grey. But this is with every color I have tried. Store bought and professional have the same result.
This product provides long-lasting color coverage, is easy to use, and takes little time. The instructions are simple. The process does not leave your hair with that chemical smell, and your hair is shiny and soft afterward.
My only complaint is that there is way too much packaging to be recycled or thrown away.
I have hard to color hair. Regular boxed colors always looked flat and didn't completely color the grey. The Esalon completely covers my grey and leaves it shiny.
works great love the color for my hair. they work with you if you want to change hair color. just wish the web site was easy to use, so you can go in and change your hair color a little easier.
You get great customer service even though you aren't in a salon. It's easy to use. Love being given two pair of gloves! Suggestion: I recently had my hair cut very short and the regular amount is way too much and I throw half out. Would you consider packaging smaller volumes for two colorings for us short-haired ladies? I hate to pour it down the sink. Thanks!
This has changed my life. I was having to color every 3-4 weeks. With this amazing hair color I can go 6 weeks or more. I have had premature gray since 15 years of age, and it's always stubborn at the temples and forehead areas. Those areas wash out color my first shampoo after coloring.. Not with this product. I can't say enough good things about this hair color. It's amazing.
I really love this copper color, I'm still concerned about the roots being darker, even after following the directions to a t! I'd like to go a little brighter next time.
I've been ordering my hair color from eSalon for a few years and I could not be more pleased! I've had my hair colored professionally and I've done in myself, but nothing has ever come out as good as this. I'm a natural redhead and now very gray. So difficult to get right, but now it is. I get stopped constantly asking about the color. I give out the eSalon name all of the time.
I get many compliments on my hair color looking so natural. After about two weeks it starts to fade. I use sulfate free shampoo for color hair, but it still happens.
When I last coloured my own hair many years ago the bathroom got more of it than I did. It was messy and not very successful. This colour does cover roots and how it comes so close to my own colour without the technicians seeing my mop I don't know. Easy to use and good value.
As a first time user I loved it. I have a large graft on my head and have to wear partial wigs but the rest of my hair shows. The kit was impressive, the color is holding beautifully but because I do not have the problem of roots growing out, I need coloring at infrequent intervals and cannot use a scheduled treatment delivery.
Consistent color every time--I have been using eSalon for close to 2 years. I put in blond highlights after coloring. exactly what I want.
My only complaint is the gloves--too small and thin. I have to buy others.
Love the convenience of having a perfect shade sent to my home. I only wish it was better at gray coverage. My grays come back in about 3-4 washings, but the other root coverage lasts until it grows out.
What can I say I have a busy life and to go to a salon n sit for a few hours every few weeks kills me! With this I can have the same color and it lasts the same and the best part .. Wait for it... I can do it any time on my schedule !!
When I finally got around to using the hair color I ordered, I was happy with most aspects of using the hair color. It was easy to apply, the directions were clear and most importantly, it covered the gray. The brush that came in the package was very helpful in applying color to the front of my hair where the gray is most prominent and stubborn. I liked getting two pairs of gloves, so I could use one for applying the color and the other for rinsing.
The only thing I didn't like was the color is too dark. I tried to make it clear in my profile that I don't want my hair to be dark brown when I get done, but perhaps I didn't do so. I think dark brown (or other dark colors) look harsh and obviously dyed in older women like me. (55, I'm 55 ). My hair is about 1/3 gray, so it should be possible for it not to be so dark. I have used hair color before with a lighter result, so I know it can be done. When I reorder, I would like to get color that isn't quite so dark.
The color does not fade between colorings. The gray grows out, but the color is still rich and vibrant, which means I can go a little longer between coloring. Also, my hair it noticeably healthier using this product. Whatever you're doing, keep it up!
I have used what is supposedly "the best" boxed color from the drug store...all of them, in fact, and none of them come close to esalon in quality. My color lasts forever, Gray never comes through and I wear my hair very long and usually only do a root touch up. The custom color is blended beautifully and I have gorgeous highlights, especially when I am in the sun. I didn't get this good of results even in a Salon.
I asked for a slightly lighter colour which I got and colour is nice. I thought it might have been a little lighter but will change that for my next order.
This is the only colour I have ever used that does not fade at all. it lasts until my next colour is due and still no fade. I don't use the shampoo or conditioner as I buy them from Holland and Barrett, because the have all natural ingredients and no sulphates, which are industrial cleaners.
I discontinued my order for a few months and went back to buying pre-packaged hair color at the store. I quickly discovered that E-salon hair color was richer and lasted twice as long.
I have been using eSalon for at least 5 years and can say I will never use any other product. If you need to change your color they make every effort to provide a new color according to your request. I requested a new color and it was too dark. They remixed it until I was happy again. The color coverage over gray is amazing..
I've been coloring my hair for sometime. My biggest gripe was that it didn't cover my gray for very long. It just faded away. I was literally coloring my hair every 2 to 3 weeks. eSolon doesn't fade. I'm so happy with it.
Ever since I had to start coloring my hair (25 years) I constantly was faced with the problem of not being able to get the same color from a manufacturer which meant I had to chose another brand and hope to match the color, or, over a period of time my color was renamed and replaced with another shade. I never had a consistent color - it was either too light, too dark, too red or too drab. But now I have my custom color sent to me and it is the same EVERY time I get it. Each time I use it - someone tells me they love the color of my hair. I love to tell people about your product...because you have taken away the worry of what color will my hair turn out to be. Your Custom Hair Color product is consistent each and every time I color with it.. Love, Love your product!
The color was easy to apply. No need for a professional colorist.

I have very resistant gray but the personalized color did a superb job of coloring my gray. My first color selection was a little too dark, not the
colorist fault, my fault in my response to their questions. Please be as specific as possible. I should have sent a picture to show my current color to help in their color analysis.
I'm really pleased with the colour- I kept trying to find something similar in the shops for years, but kept getting disappointed with the results. And you managed to get it right the first time :)
After working with a salon tech a couple of times to get the color just right, I have been very please. I have used eSalon for over a year and results are consistent. My only issue has been that with the last application, the color around my face has not lasted as long as prior applications
The whole process of dying one's own hair can be daunting, but with eSalon it is actually designed towards making the experience as easy and hassle free as possible.
Really happy with the results as well!
I have used my customized hair color several times and love it. My hair comes out very soft, the color covers all gray, goes on easily and lasts longer than commercial products. The only "con" I would say is that it is rather expensive for me to keep up. I am on a fixed income and find that it is just getting too expensive to keep up. However, I am thinking of alternating between my eSalon color and a commercial brand just to cut cost a little.
Everything else I have used on my auburn hair has either made it look brassy or too red. E-Salon mixes my color and I can adjust it accordingly with them. Now if I could only keep those gray roots away!
Custom color, sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the exact the color you want . . . but, when you do OMG! it's amazing. Thanks for the color I've always wanted and keeping it!!
If you want good coverage without having to go to the salon and want to save some $, this is for you. I just wouldn't use it often since it has a very strong chemical smell. I've been able to push my next coloring the furthest after using this product and by spraying root touch up spray to prolong the in between coloring.
If you want to do it yourself, there is no better way to go!

I you're anything like me, you've tried every boxed hair color on the market only to be disappointed by the fading color and poor grey coverage. Almost one year ago, I received an offer from eSalon to meet with a colorist and receive a complimentary coloring. I was more than pleased when I left the eSalon studio but the next month was what sold me completely. The color lasted without any noticeable fading and the greys did not lose the color. Regrowth is my only issue so now I do it myself every 3-4 weeks. I am a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
