Loved the colour, suits me just fine.
I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't be able to use it again because my chest is so bad it was too harsh, so I found it difficult to breathe.
The products are easy to use and the refresher for ends is wonderful. Thank you for a great product. The only I don’t like is that all of the extras that make it look great sure do add up.
When the pandemic hit and we couldn't go to the hair salon I had to color my hair myself. I went to the drugstore and tried many different box colors. All of them did not work and wasted money and time. Then I tried esalon and will never again color my hair at the hair salon. Thank-you esalon.
I like the color match. It matched my natural color so well no one noticed I colored my hair. The downside is that even after multiple washes, the color is still bleeding onto my pillowcases. Additionally, during the color process, the instructions say to mix what’s left in the bottle with water and dump over your head. I did, but with short hair, it’s hard to mix all the color left with water. I ended up with big gloopy globs of color and then just water pouring over my head. It was a real mess. On a bright note, the color still looks good after a couple weeks. I’m overall happy with the results.
Although the color last longer without fading, it is quite expensive. I am 74 and color my hair myself. It is easy to use but I just can't afford touch-ups as often as required.
I liked the color a lot and it did stay in for a long time, but the process took a whole evening and my hair did not smell or feel good like other at-home dyes that I have used. Worth it for the price, but not the highest quality product out there
Red is not easy to match. Especially with gray. It can turn out pink, magenta or just scaryingly RED. eSalon has it mastered as my shade matches perfectly and the set comes with everything you need to complete your coloring process . All that's missing is the water....

I was kinda scared to do coloring at home, and I did screw up by not perfectly covering the roots, but a bad screw up isn't a big deal because it is such a good match!
The hair dyes is as good as a salon, in my opinion. The highlights on my first order came out nice. My second try at dyeing and highlighting my hair didn’t work out. I left the bleach on my hair Forty minutes and it came out very reddish orange. Obviously, I left the bleach on my hair to long. Tomorrow I will need to dye my hair again to cover up the bad bleach job.
The initial few colors were not what I wanted but they worked with me to make adjustments. The demi doesn't last long, but the product smells good, leaves my hair soft, and comes to my door. Since I'm only coloring my roots, I split the color into two applications to get me through the month. The roots definitely fade within a week or two, so I augment with the concealer spray.
Color so close to my natural color no one noticed. After a month it has faded somewhat as to be expected. It.was hard to cover my white around my face maybe next time I 'll leave it on longer there. But really happy with the product
I loved this product because for the price it is worth it. It colored my gross, dark roots. The only problem was it turned my hair an orange/yellow tint but id rather that than have dark roots
I am not sure it was me or the color some of my gray didnt quite cover but most looks better. I would like to go back to the all over cover I used before as long as that is ok to use every 4 to 6 weeks.
This hair coloring is really good. It covers the grays very well and looks awesome overall. The only downside is that the ammonia is overwhelming which is why I only gave it a 4 and not a 5.
Excellent in use , in color , shine and price as well.

After a long period I really get a great color and service ( guidance) . I really liked. But only one thing I want to share last time my color results I was not showing because of my dark black hair and I really appreciate the team Manager , whose offered me to send other one free . But this time I want Black color and I mentioned it . Unfortunately I get same last time Burgundy color and I don’t know how it work . This color useless for me. If you give me reply then it will be great help to me . Thanks.
The 1st box I received had damaged but the response was quick & I received the 2nd box with no issue. This' my 1st time doing this and I'm really enjoying it so far
I liked the colour and the product gave good results. However the one thing that I did not like was the packaging. There was too much unnecessary plastic and packaging. The colour gave good result and was a lovely colour but I would want to use something less damaging for my hair.
I absolutely loved the color of my hair after my first esalon order. My only complaint is that the color faded after 3 washes on the grays around my hairline. These grays are the main reason why I color my hair so that was a little disappointing.
This was my first attempt ever at colouring my own hair. The box arrived very promptly and was extremely well presented. The products were all fantastic. It was a fantastic colour match and I was very impressed by how easy it was to apply. My only draw back was the smell was extremely overwhelming. My bathroom isn't particularly big and I had to have the window fully open and the door for ventilation.
I have tried almost every brand of hair color out there, as well as the salon (before it got just too costly). I have been coloring my hair for over thirty years (it's been greying that long). Now it's pretty much white. My natural color was a dark ash brown with some chestnut, but whenever I try to get a medium-toned auburn or chestnut, the roots come out orange - no matter how dark or brown the color is supposed to be. What's more, unless they're the amethyst or burgundy auburns not found in nature, they're all warm-based. I had my doubts about finding the right color on a computer screen but after several tries I did find one and turns out it was called "ash mahogany" - a cool red?! I told the colorist about the root issue and said I didn't want too much red in the mix.
Within two days I had the color. And? No more dual tones. Natural roots! More multi-dimensional than any OTC color I have ever used. Great conditioning. The kit contains niceties not found in OTC brands (the stain repeller works better than the petroleum jelly the salon used - which often didn't work - so well I didn't even have to use the included stain remover). Compliments coming my way. I am an eSalon customer now...no more poring over dozens of not-quite-right colors in the store.

Although my color didn’t work out too well for me, the set was full of so much stuff! Maybe I’ll try again in hopes of a different color, just because the set was so awesome!
Imagine that! I would forget which box of hair color from the store l used. It never matched. Not anymore! Actually this product is not as harsh on my hair as the store bought ones. These are delivered regularly. Love it.
Covers grays and included plenty of product but color was darker then it had been. Requested more dimension with caramel etc., but color seemed uniform and a bit darker. It looks better than it was before but still lacks dimension.
I LOVE the color, it's a perfect subtle violet tone. Maybe a little less red in the base for the next one because my hair naturally pulls red and goes red while fading.
The grays did seem to come through pretty quickly, but I think that's something I'll have to deal with no matter what color.
I’ve tried different thicknesses of application and kept it on as long as possible but I am pink at the part. I have loved the customer service at esalon but I am going back to the non virtual salon
My first shipment contained a brush for applying the color. The second one did not, so I suspended my subscription. I re-enrolled (the color is really good btw) but third shipment arrived, and no brush, again.
A brush makes things a lot less messy. Mess is whole reason I go to the salon to begin with, even though the color is not as good! Just bc they’re neater!
I had hopes that the color would last on my roots longer than it has. I usually have to color my roots every 2- 3 weeks and I wash my hair about 5x/week. The color is a perfect match so I love that but unfortunately it doesn't last on my roots, sadly to say. Not sure I will continue with this since it is more expensive then store bought and lasts the same amount of time.
love the product.... I wish though.... it would come in a 2 oz size. I color all over head roots about every 4-5 weeks....BUT i find myself touching up my sideburns at least every 2 weeks. why can't the product come in 1-2 oz size just for the sideburns.. According to my hair dresser most women and men.... turn grey sideburns first.. I could sell the product myself to my friends because we all find ourselves doing our sideburns even though there are other products out there... i would love love love to have this product in a smaller size just to do sideburrns

This has taken the stress of salon fees off my back, especially with having kids and holidays quickly approaching. When the roots start showing, I know my color will be sent every time as scheduled. Perfect for single moms on budget but everyone can enjoy!
The root color still came out a little "hot". They seemed lighter/oranger than the base ends. It initially felt too dark as my blonde highlights were gone. So I make want a little more blonde in the mix. I also struggled with not overlapping the two colors and getting all my hair covered. I have a LOT of hair. Overall I liked it. I think I learned a little bit as to what I could do better to make sure it doesn't get as patchy and better coverage next time. Though tips for how to apply when you have a ton of hair would be appreciated!
I first started using eSalon home coloring products in July of 2020. A time of craziness and wanting to limit the contacts with others, meant the hair salon too.
My first order, I played it safe and went with a color slightly darker than the hair color that I currently had, but I did want to go darker for fall and winter. My customized formula was great, however as I said I played it safe and my hair wasn't as dark as I wanted it, but I'd rather build to the color I want then do something drastic. So once my hair was colored, I emailed with consultant and we came up with a plan and a slightly still modified color to give me a darker color treatment my next round and my color for September was beautiful and so natural looking. I absolutely loved my results, but more than that, I loved the fact that I was able to get the quality hair color I wanted, with the assurance and guidance of someone who was willing to listen to my request. Not all online services are created equally and most do not have your best interest at stake, however, with eSalon, they do have your best interest and their quality of products and communications prove that.
The color is close to my natural and lasts a while. Can’t seem to master coloring the temple where you don’t see gray after coloring. This time around, still seeing color in the shower two weeks later, but don’t see on my pillow case, just the hotel’s white towels(!). ;)
I am still adjusting to the new paste-like texture and bubble gum pink scent but love the color in the end Next time forget the tumbler and send us a pink plastic cape-let we can put on our shoulders during process!
I do love this companys colours, my hair feels so soft and healthy after ive coloured my hair, the only negative i have is my roots are a different colour than the rest of my hair, but i got in contact with the esalon and they came up with a change in my colour and how i will apply it. So fingers crossed this will rectify my issue, even if it dosent i will still by from them as i don't have the money go to an expensive salon, plus ive also in the past had the same issue with expensive salons but without the feel of my hair felling really soft ir healthy. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my hair colour.
After allll this time! All was great until this last color set, I don’t know what changed but something must have because it did not cover my greys and my roots seem to have a hint of reddish. Hoping this was a one time glitch because Ive been a long time customer now and want to continue to be.
It was perfect coloring & it brought beautiful highlights to my hair. But I also had to cancel my orders permanently. But was sent another. Please cancel all further orders. Thank you, Penny Swan
I order my custom made colour which I was very excited. It all went fine but the final result turned out much darker than I expected. Dark blond turn brown 😐
Over the years, I have had my hair colored at the salon and at times, I've colored my hair myself at home. Refusing to be grey, my hair needs color every 4-5 weeks, It is expensive for salon color. A friend and former hair stylist uses eSalon regularly and introduced me to the product. It is nice to be able to color my hair whenever I want. My only complaint is that shipping is expensive.

I like that the color is formulated for me and the detailed instructions. My only complaint is the shampoo & conditioner has a very chemical taste. I'm not drinking it but when I rinse my hair some invariably gets on my lips. Love the color but from now on I'm going to use my own shampoo/conditioner.
I was really scared to try this new mix... it is 2 days old, and just added the light set yesterday, so I am adjusting to a different tone, than I am use to.... Your customer service is AMAZING, your instructions, spot on. - So why 4 stars? I am not sure this is the permanent color for me.... Just like any change I need to live with it for a bit.
Since I got here in the US, I've been to the salon just twice (2 sessions of hair coloring and balayage) and that costed (my husband... Lol) roughly $200. I told myself it is not happening again (unless maybe I'm already working and earning my own money, then I can spend on vanity or leisure without guilt). So since then, I've been cutting my hair (trimming and layering) on my own. Then I came across @esalon on Facebook ads. It's a subscription box for hair color. I got my first box for $10. Succeeding boxes will cost a minimum of $24, and you can set the frequency of your cycle. I took the maximum, which is every 10 weeks. You can cancel anytime or skip your cycle. It's a personalized/customized hair color especially for you. It's my first time coloring my hair all by myself. It's kinda hard, but not really. I was just under pressure because my 3 month old baby boy was sleeping, but could have woken up in between. I prayed that I finish before he wakes, and I did. TYL! Lol. The rinsing part was bloody hell. Messy! But I survived and I think I did good for my first time. The shampoo and conditioner that came with the box smelled of Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue. Color was not what I was going for. I wanted more of a plumb. And this color came out dark brown with a slight hint of violet.
Otherwise, shipped fast and easy to use.
I was told when I received this hair color I would be getting it for free due to the inconsistency with my prior dye that was formulated. I didn’t see it be reflected to my act?
I think the original color is better for me. Everyone complimented me on it but no one liked the darker. I do like the darker for the fall/ winter months since other went gray faster. I wish your product lasted longer than 2 weeks than it fades. I don't wash my hair for 2 days to make it last . I just tried the tint today an will see how it works over the next few weeks not sure this is the same as the highlight kit.? Love the conditioner which I will order some next shipment. Also the highlighter when you get it in sign me up for one
I love the color change, but I think maybe a little less brown and a little more red. I just colored 10/14, so I have not tried the tint rinse yet. What do you think?
I colored just the roots, and the match was very close. I had to repeat the application in areas where my hair was more white than grey (temples, sides, bits of part) . There was enough product for a second application and coverage was better after the second application. I wonder if it's possible to get a separate amount of a darker color to apply to those areas at same time when doing the roots? I have long hair and there wasn't quite enough shampoo/conditioner for a good wash. Really like the freedom your product provides to control when to touch up roots. Love that it gets delivered right to me!
I DO NOT let anyone ever touch my hair.. When i was 21.. someone at a salon when i was 21 years old,, the colorist totally bleached and ruined my existing hair.. till i found my blonde hair specialist and have NEVER skewed away from him.. However,, i have bought my colour from them for 4 years now to DIY.. but to get htem on the phone,, and to park etc,, is such a hassle.. yet i went. Now they lacked returning my call 3 times, so i decided not to be feel stuck .. and try something else that could be even better..

Ordered ,, did the colour,, and I AM not just impressed with the packaging and all hte little final touches on their products.. i truly loved the whole experinec.. from ordering, to connecting with the colorist ,, to the final product.
my old con,, for me personally,, and it may be because i am used to doing my own for years.. is that i dont find it effective to do my roots putting my hair in 4 sections,, i used maybe half the bottle ... and waited
what happened? it truly dindt really take on much of a shade difference where i was happy.. it made me feel kinda bummed. but still hopeful
