My hair is always brassy after I color it and I hate that. I let the colorist know this was a problem and with the color they made for me my hair is not brassy at all. My hair is soft and does not seemed have been damaged by the color. It has been a few weeks since a colored and I still really like it.
I’ve never done my own roots and was terrified that I had chosen the wrong color. Much to my surprise it was a great color match! I had to have my husband help me with the back 😂 but I will get better with practice.
I followed the directions, but got a lot of gray still showing through. I don't have a ton of gray hair, so to see these strands at my part and also throughout was disappointing.
I cannot believe the lushness and depth of my hair color. I have not been able to get this perfect a match to my roots and natural hair color even in a salon. I have told everyone I know about this. I used to spend hundreds of dollars on one salon visit. Never. Again.
Seems like when I completed my color it was too red. Seem to calm down about a week after. I was born with a lot of reds in my hair and wish I could figure out how not to have it. But, I do like the grey coverage a lot.
Goes on very dark brown except the greys on top are golden red brown. Lighter than rest of hair. Even left it on longer by doing 1st. Color always lightens up by 2nd week. All over. Then turns blonde gold.
Roots had the depth of the golden blonde I wanted. Did emulsion directions. My hair is very long and I know there’s only so much you can do. However, my ends, top layer of hair are still a bit washed out grayish looking, also around face line where I have a lot of white/gray hair. I’m just looking for a bit more depth of color in those areas, if that’s even possible. Underneath those areas are perfect.
I like the color but could be a little lighter. Also my hair has grown and not enough product to go on all hair. But your product is Awesome. I Love how long it last on my hair. Great with the grey also
I like the eSalon color system. I noticed that my scalp wasn't dry and flaky after using eSalon color. Other color kits have made my scalp really dry but I've not experienced the same with eSalon. However, it seem like my grey roots started showing after about 2 weeks following my color. Not sure if it's normal. This was my first time using eSalon color. I'll see if there's a difference with my next application.
I really like my color and gave it 4 stars. The only hiccup I had is in my side burn area of my hair line. The color seemed not to last through a couple of washes and the gray began to show. I only colored roots so had really applied a lot to all root areas. I still enjoy using product and will continue to color my hair.
The initial order was very pleasant surprise color was great but with the new order discount I was extremely happy...but next shipments are a bit pricey for me
I’m happy with this product. I wish it smelled better. I believe some of what I’m not happy with was user error. I’ve never dealt with 2 different colors at the same time before. Could not figure out how to pin up the hair I colored first on my roots without getting that color on my ends. In all now that it’s finished and dry it might have been a better overall color had I not worried about that so much. I’m hoping with the tweaks I have asked for in the color and practice on my part this will work well.
At the very 1st I didn't like the product. In the shower and the first 2 days my hair seemed drier then normal. But now that a couple of days have gone by my hair actually looks and feels better then it has in a long time. The color is a little more red then I care for but other then that I just love it. It has depth and covers the gray so much better then the box kind. It looks a lot more natural then it has in a long time. I have been coloring my hair for almost 30 years and this is the best color it has ever had. I just spoke to soon the 1st time.
Was darker than the rest of my hair so I still had “roots”, but it blended the new gray hairs well so I can next use it all over instead of just roots for a more consistent color.
I've been a client for a few years. I absolutely love my color and always get tons of compliments.
Here's my dilemma... I wish you guys would sell messy bun extensions (real hair would be awesome) that I could esalon in my shade of red. I can't find one that matches my color. I think there would be a good market for it.
Customer service for ordering was great but unfortunately the end result was lackluster. After following the steps provided word for word the top of my head (roots) is blonde while the lengths of my hair is copper blonde (which was the goal color)
I wasn't happy with the grey coverage with my first order. My team made a suggestion and added an extra colour step at no charge. I love the slightly darker colour and the grey coverage was better. It lasted longer than the colour from my last salon trip. This is a great idea.
Very nice color coverage. Easy to use. I'm glad I can work with my mixologist to fine tune the color.
I only wish it didn't come with so much packaging. Seems like a waste.
The color was a little too dark, I left it processing for half the time it said to as my hair is very porous. It turned out a little darker than my roots.
This time my hair turned out much darker... almost black. The directions called for me to leave it on for 30 minutes but in the past I thought it was only 15-20... maybe that was the difference. Prefer it to be more brown.
I got the color I asked for, I think on my next visit I'd like to give it a BIG twist. I don't agree with the 100% gray coverage because I still have some gray hairs in me. Idk if the 100% coverage is after the first color but it didn't work for me.
This came as a kit with two bottles one for my roots that was a slightly different color than the one for my ends. With the exception of my roots, the color from top to bottom is uniform and rich. The roots are a couple shades lighter than the rest as I am almost all white at the top. Would like to go a little darker with the root bottle next time.
My biggest problem is that the ends fade to brown quickly so I am eager to see if this color brand holds true for more than a couple washings.
I had highlights I was ready to get rid of. I purchased this color a little nervous about whether or not it would totally cover my highlights. A filler was added to my order and explained that it would return color to the bleached hair. Then there is an overall color that would be put on next. I love the way my hair turned out!
I love the product but the color is to dark! What can I do to fix it?

I love the way my hair feels, the product is GREAT! But I expected it to be a bit lighter. I NEED to fix it but I don't want to make the mistake of running to the drug store to buy a box dye. Can you please tell me what I can do to achieve the right color.
I love the color. So natural looking, looks like the color I had as a kid. The only problem is now that it’s almost 2 weeks starting 3rd week, it’s not adhering to the grays. Seems to be washing out. Perhaps I didn’t leave it on long enough? Maybe I needed more time. I followed the exact time.
Not really happy, the color was too dark (black) instead what i requested and doesn't cover well the grey hair after 2 days i have visible grey hair again,I followed all the instructions even the second order I keep it to give a second chance but was the same.
Sorry I have to give this feedback .
Third set and still happy with the results. I do wish they would include a little bit more of the shampoo and conditioner. Maybe two small packets of each rather that just one of each.
I have been using esalon color for 3 colorings. I'm pleased with the product, I have recommended it to friends and family...good, long lasting color, and reds tend to fade quickly and turn brassy, this product does not. Pretty good gray coverage. It's pricey but it lasts about 3-4 weeks longer than store bought so it should eventually pay for itself. I've had to adjust the color, just me. But i'm annoyed to pay for shipping - that's why I dropped a star. When you're in a "club" with regular deliveries you should never have to pay shipping! Also be aware of how often they send out your next box, it was a bit confusing until I got the right buttons. At least try it once, you'll probably be impressed. Much better than $120 at the salon and certainly as good 😃
Good color and shine but way too much product to rinse out

I like the color and shine, but not the process.
The product turns into a waxy goo when I rinse with water. The residue collects under my fingernails as I try to rinse and remove the product with shampoo.
When just refreshing the roots, it requires 20 minutes of rinsing, followed by 2 - 3 shampoos, and there is still residue.
I recently wanted more coverage, so used half the product at once. I ended up shampooing 5 times and was in the shower for more than half an hour scrubbing my scalp.
I am getting tired of this every time I color my hair... I even bought a silicon scalp massager to help with the back of my head. If you can fix that one problem of residue, I will be much happier.
I was very pleased with how vibrant my color turned out. Unfortunately it has faded quite a bit. About the same if not more so than the store bought kind
The color was great. The formula was a little runny. I felt like I needed more shampoo and a leave-in after care conditioner would have been appreciated. Overall, I was please.
Lovely colour an shine love love mine ... how ever last order never turned up.. u messages to ask why I had returned it I didn't it never came please refund !
I love this product and will continue to use it, although it does not do a good job coloring grey on my temple's. My colorist has changed my formula but its still not working. I do put the color on first before doing the rest of my hair.

The color is perfect and exactly what I wanted. It also did an amazing job on my grays. The only disappointment is my hair feels dry and not as shiny and rich feeling as I was expecting. It feels a little dry and I was hoping for more shine. It does seem to cover gray better than box color from drugstore
I was very happy with the color, but extremely disappointed with the fact it did not cover my grey. That is the reason I color my hair is to cover the grey.
Do not purchase this if you are wanting to cover any grey. Will not purchase again.
UPDATE: The ESalon contacted me and told me I did not order the kind that covers the grey (semi-permanent). They sent me a new type of color (permanent) and it worked great!! It covered my grey and the color was spot on. I will be changing my color somewhat for my next order (my choice). They were very accommodating and understanding of my concern.
I will be ordering again and probably (once I decide on the color) will go to auto ship.

With previously lightened hair that had quite a bit of grow out, I was hoping the two separate colors would make my already two-toned hair closer to a single, more natural tone. Though I like the colors separately, I wish they would have been chosen in a way to make them evened out.
I loved the experience and the color, but omg did it dry my hair so badly. The conditioner isn’t good enough. It needs a deep hair mask. The color was gorgeous. And the smell was sooooo strong i wAs getting dizzy and kept having to go outside. Seriously, it’s bad.
Overall it was a good experience. I just am not sure if i can do it again
The first set of coloring was fabulous and I loved the color. But the most recent one made everything "darker" - as the same level of color was used for the 2 bottle formulation. It made everything a bit too dark. it lightened the root - but made everything else darker. I hope we can correct this in the next shipment.
I had my husband do my hair which I do roots only. But unfortunately for me he missed so much of my gray around my face I can’t wait to get next months
I really like the way my hair looks, i would like it a little lighter perhaps chsnging the golden or red pigment in my hair, but all in all. This is a very good product, a little pricey though
My hair did not come out the color I expected. It's much darker. However!! I actually like the color it came out. I'm definitely keeping it for a bit.
Can you do this alone? Yes. You can definitely color on your own.
Does help make it even easier? Yes.
Will I be keeping my custom color? Yes, but eventually I will need to get the color lifted or something because I wanted a lighter color than what I received.
