I don't like the smell. 'very put on your stink-face-smell' scent.
If it could smell like the 'Shine Spray' they will get 5 stars from me.

This plays a part with how often I may purchase this product,
but other then that, it does hold the hair way into 3 days, etc.
I loved this hairspray. It works better than any hairspray I've used in the past. However, I abhor the smell. I have to hold my breath while spraying and leave the room right away.
My hair is fine and doesn't hold a style real well. I was hoping this product would have more hold than it does but maybe my fine hair will never find a hair spray that can truly hold it the way I want. I like the fact that my hair doesn't feel like a helmet when I put it on.
The first thing I noticed is how awful it smells! NOT pretty at all. But if you can get past the smell it really works great! It's a fine mist and holds great. Not sticky. I will order it again.
Please make a bigger size!!! I love the feeling of this hairspray, you know it's there, but it doesn't feel sticky. Holds great, but after about 3-4 hours you need to add again. Not a problem. I only use this hairspray now.
I really like the hair spray as it has only a mild scent and a light application. However It tends to get clogged the more you use it and then just becomes watery. If you clean the head with an alcohol pad it seems to dislodge the clog and the spray works well.
I like the hairspray. It's not real heavy. My complaint is the smell. It's not pleasant & my kids hate the smell. I hope you can find a way to make it smell better. If so, then it will be my go-to hairspray.

The hairspray is good. But, this can is very wide. All other hairspray cans I have had have been slimmer. This is so wide I cannot hold it with one hand and spray at the same time. It is just cumbersome to use. If you make the can slimmer and the nozzle easier to press, I would buy it again, but as is, nope!

Everyone hair is different, lot of people like this product so I gave it a try.
Holds great all day, it left my hair crunchy, bed head was the killer for me; I needed to take a tactical approach every morning as soon as I get out bed to be presentable.
This does not make this a bad product, it just didn’t work for me.

Used this a few times hoping I’d like it better as I went along… so heavy on your hair. I have fine hair and it just weighted it down. The fragrance is terrible… wouldn’t want anyone to catch a smell after applied.

This hairspray has just the right amount of hold for me. It doesn’t give me helmet hair but my hair holds its shape well. The downside? This stuff smells awful. It’s like aqua net. This was really surprising because eSalon’s other products smell lovely. I use the weekly retreat mask, repair shampoo and conditioner, cream cowash, triple prep, and mousse, and they’re all yummy smelling. But this? Not so much.

Have tried using this hairspray on and off for a few months now. Do not like this spray as much as I do the Stretch Hairspray. It does not dry as I expect nor does it hold my hair in place as expect. Will not be purchasing this product again but highly recommend the ESalon Stretch Hairspray. As usual, ESalon continues to impress and satisfy me with almost all of their products.

I am not a hairspray person. I let my hair do what it wants. If I use a spray, I don't want anything to "hold" my hair down like some will do. This one does not do that! When I use it, it is normally just on the top of my head to get the frizzy part from drying to lay down. It's not bad!!!

So far I have liked all of the Esalon items I have tried. Unfortunately, I cannot say that for the Forcefield Hairspray. It holds well but the smell is very, very strange. It is like stale air. No perfume or pretty fragrance. It is not something I want to put on my hair, not even close.

I was hoping to be wowed by eSalon's hairspray and have it delivered periodically, for convenience. I wear my fine, thin hair up a lot and have to spray it in place; this Forcefield doesn't seem to be any different from the less pricey brands available in on-line services that also deliver to my home. It's also just personal preference, but I don't care for the smell/fragrance of it, and with it right around my face, that's important.

Dangerous. Beware of thin can...

Please beware as the fortified hairspray can combusted with a pin size hole in my bathroom, spraying all over me, in my face, and ruining my new Lanebryant $65 pjs. Super scary and dangerous. I'm glad it randomly happened late at night and my kids were not the ones who followed the "hissing spray noise". After my husband tried to seal the hole, it just got scarier and I sat in the bathroom letting it explode hairspray into the sink until it got towards the pin sized hole then sat there spraying the rest out until I knew it had nothing in it (pictures and video) and the hiss stopped, taking it out to the dumpster just incase. I've never seen an aerosol can do that and upon inspection, pulling the sticker back there was a lil hole that we could not figure out how or why it occured and the can is soooo thin (pictures available) comparing it to my other brand mouse, hairspray and other aerosol can; lysol, glade, stain guard, other sprays etc. I really would be careful if you have this can and esalon might want to look into the manufacturing process and lot my can came to recall?!
So I can tell you about my very expensive two times I was able to use the product;
After using it once after I changed my color, dyed and straightened, curling the ends for xmas eve (my hair is thin, naturally curly/super frizzy) The fortified hairspray kept the part I wanted straight; straight and curls curly all while I ran after 3 kids, and running my hands thru it, a miracle, that never happens w my hair all while it looking great at the end of the night! I decided to do the same style for another party I hosted so I was a little hottier running around cooking, even putting it in a pony and letting it down several times my hair still looked great and the hairspray helped my holiday sweat not curl the straitened & drop the curls. So totally disappointed that it came in an unsafe thin can that exploded not allowing me to enjoy it.

Smells funny, can't put my finger on it, but the fragrance is just off. I don't find it appealing at all, but fortunately it doesn't seem to last that long. I was surprised as the shampoo and conditioner from eSalon smells AMAZING.

It gives an average finish for my hair type that is a strong, natural hold. Not satisfied with the delivery of the spray particles; the release valve targets or covers one small area, and is too heavy duty. My preference is an overall, continuous, finer mist.
I find that this product is expensive. There are better sprays that have more product for less money. I favour, and will stick with, Redken Fashion Work 12; it gives the fine mist and I like the results.

It doesn’t get gooy and holds my hair in the Houston, TX humidity! Make sure your hair is exactly the way you want it because it will not move after spraying. My hair is thinning and baby fine. It is too stiff for my hair. I’m going to try the light spray! Good luck!

I have extremely thick hair. This hairspray didn't hold very well for me. Curls didn't stay in and straight styles became wavy very quickly. It didn't work well for me, but someone with thinner hair would probably love it.

Finally tried this when my other product was gone. This was awful on my hair. Turned it dry and fly-away. Not a flexible comb-thru type spray that I'm used to. Used once and now sits in the cabinet. Only product that's been a bust so far.

Unfortunately I have purchased this product at least three times due to auto ship. This has to be the worst smelling hairspray of all time. I don’t find that it holds well either.

I have come to expect a certain smell with eSalon products---except with this product. It does work well though. However, I could walk into any Ulta, find a similarly priced product that worked the same and actually smelled good. I tend to order this one for the convenience, since I enjoy the other products.

This spray holds well however the fragrance is strong and chemical smelling. Can't use it __ every now and then when I need firm hold I take out and use in the hopes I can tolerate the scent_ but can't. I have loved all the E Salon products and was hoping this would be a spray that would work for me. Disappointed I can't use it.

I have several products from eSalon and this is ONLY one I haven’t loved. The hold isn’t bad but the smell is. It’s very strong and not very pleasant. Even the dry shampoo smells better. I will save it as “back-up” hairspray for the times I run out of aomething else.

Hate the smell! This product holds well, does the job, but I will never order it again because it smells so awful. I was hoping it smelled is good is the shampoo.

I did not like the smell/scent of this hairspray. It did not hold my curly hair all day. I would spray in the morning and by noon, needed more product.

It works for a little while then it flakes in your hair like you have dandruff or stuff in your hair. I won't buy this tiny $15 bottle of hairspray again.

It was very firm, if your into that. I like firm but my hair spray to hold my hair and look natural, which this doesn't.

I wish that the spray was refreshable with a misting of water. My hair gets frizzy and it would be nice if I could mist it with water and have the spray take hold again. But what I get is frizz that won't smooth out unless I wash my hair again.

It does hold, but I find a little too much. I prefer my locks to be a little softer and without a tight holding spray. It would be great if I had a style that I did not want to get out of place at all.
