I enjoyed that this adds color back into my hair in between coloring so that my color continues to be vibrant. However, I haven't used it as much as recommended because it leaves my hair feeling thick and greasy from the product buildup. I will continue to use what I have but will not be ordering this specific product again.

I’ve tried this product twice now, the second time being yesterday. Both times it turned my long, curly hair in to a nest of knots. It took me almost 20 minutes and a good bit of conditioner to gently get them out. While it did enhance my hair color nicely, it wasn’t worth the trouble of the knots. Personally, I won’t be using this product again! (As a side note, I’ve absolutely loved every other product I’ve gotten from eSalon and I will remain a loyal customer! 😊)

Why would you neutralize the red? I asked for dark brown with blue undertones so my hair would have shine and not appear dull. By neutralizing the red, I was very away the blue and red together would give it a bit of a purple look in sunlight. That’s what I was going for. I have flat dull hair that is obviously colored.

For whatever reason, this just didn't do much to reduce the red tones in my hair. I have med-dark brown hair and like to color it a shade lighter with some highlights. My hair tends to get reddish tones so I'm still trying to find the perfect mix/processing time maybe.

Made my hair look like cherry or pink and on the sides in my hair I have to keep cutting it’s about 4 inches wide 4 inches long because I’ve been cutting it off it feels Light cotton it ruined my hair made my hair pink cherry color threw it out out. Didn't hurt my hair by any means, but I didn't really notice it helping with toning down the red tones I have throughout my hair. I went to a cooler brunette color dye from a more auburn tint, so I got this to go along with it for in between dye jobs as the color faded some.

My hair is soft black so its dark. This tint rinse really stains your hands & fingernails. It's a bit watery so comes out quickly and will make a mess. Use gloves or it will stain bad. I don't see a color difference in my hair so I feel it was a waste of money.

It came with everything when I bought my first kit. I was slightly confused as the instructions on the leaflet said to use it before and the instructions on the bottle said to use after. I ended up getting a phone call from one of the advisors who was an extremely lovely and helpful lady. She confirmed i should use it before so i did as i was told.
I bought demi permanent dye and the more i wash my hair the more copper it comes out (blue/purple shampoo is not helping). I'm very disappointed and wish I had gone with my guts and skipped this product altogether.

I chose this based on description and reviews. I have caramel brown color with lighter blonde highlights. I really wanted to use something to make my highlights pop. I tried it once, followed directions and nothing happened. Tried it for a second time, this time I used more and left it longer and I almost feel like it made left my base color with more reddish tones. I bought this in the hope that it would neutralise any red tones that appeared after using the 'light brown' dye. Unfortunately, my hair is a distinctly reddish shade. I actually caught sight of myself in a window this morning and winced at my hair colour :( I gave it two stars as it smells nice and my hair is quite shiny after using it, but I don't think it really works on the redness...

I have light brown hair right now & my natural color is a medium/light blonde. I’ve died my hair so many different colors in the past & ive died it different reds so now whenever I die my hair it always fades into a light brown with a gold/orange look which I hate. I’ve tried blue toner shampoos for brown died hair but they don’t work for me & seems like they dry out my hair. I decided to try this product because I’ve seen good reviews & ive watched videos about it on YouTube. So I shampooed my hair in the shower like normal then I used this product & left it in for maybe 5 minutes rinsed it out put my regular conditioner & I even used the weekly retreat masque after but now my hair looks like it somehow lightened & now looks dark blonde I’m not sure how that was possible but I’m going to try again next wash day maybe without using the masque after.

I was recommended this to help even out and blend my highlights after using the esalon light set as I had 2 very blonde streaks in my hair which looked really random with my brown hair. I’ve used it a few times and the blonde streaks are still very blonde and I have not noticed much of a difference. It might work for someone else but it didn’t work for me.

My hair medium brown hair turned orange from the eSalon Light Set. Seriously, it turned NEON ORANGE. eSalon recommended I try Light Set again and pair it with the balancing Tint Rinse. I foolishly trusted the eSalon rep and tried it again.
Well, my hair turned orange again and the purple Tint Rinse did absolutely nothing for me. I used it several times, and all it did was foam up into a huge lather that seriously dried out my hair. My hair is a hideous bright orange and damaged and I'm so sad.
Here's the worst part!!
eSalon would not honor their 100% money back guarantee for me. Be careful with this company, they hide the fact that they only offer 1 refund per customer in the fine print. But that won't stop their representatives from encouraging you to buy MORE products to fix your hair, and then when that doesn't work, they will deny you a refund. Buyer beware!! I will never shop from eSalon again.
All I can do is hope someone who reads this will learn from my mistakes and save their hair from the damage and embarrassment I am going through by not purchasing the eSalon Light Set or Tint Rinse.

I've used the rinse 4 times now since receiving it and can't say that I see any difference to my hair. Perhaps my curls are just too dark to have a golden glow? I may try a different shade, but the gold was invisible on my head.

I really wanted to love this product and hoped it would help to keep my colour bright between colouring sessions. I was really disappointed that I saw no change in the colour but worse, the condition of my hair has changed drastically for the worse since using it. My hair had always been strong but this left it so dry and knotty, it's broken quite badly at the crown and several inches down so I have noticeable short pieces that weren't there before. Having very long hair, this is quite upsetting as they're going to take so long to grow out.

I previously tried a lighter shade if tint rinse but it didn’t really do anything. I thought I’d maybe chosen the wrong tint colour and ordered this one instead.
