I barely write reviews on any products that I purchased, I am doing this to save other people from experiencing the nightmare that I had using these products. These "volume" shampoo & conditioner DO NOT give any volume at all. My hair became so ugly & lifeless, it's like being in a very humid place (I live in America, in a state where there's 0 humidity). Your hair would look like you have not shampooed in such a long time, It's just awful what these would do to your hair. I started having itchy scalp too. Please, do not buy any of these products or better yet, do not buy anything from eSalon.

Having had much success with the colourists blending of my choice of colour I was expecting as good quality from the offered shampoo and conditioner duo, however I was sadly disappointed by the quality and the results. I opted for the Volume Shampoo and Conditioner duo, but it failed to make me smile with the quality or the results it had on my hair. I had to rewash my hair to remove all traces of the duo set as it felt heavy and flat. I won't be ordering that again.

For $8.00 and the amount of conditioner you receive this product is not worth it. You have to use a lot if you want to condition your hair, and it made no difference in the volume. I prefer Pantene or Suave for color treated hair, they actually condition your hair and they are a better value.

Maybe it is just me, but it made my hair full of static. However, it smells good and it may just be my type of hair, I have red thick curly hair. On the great side, when I told eSalon my issues, they immediately refunded my money! So the customer service is fantastic! I used it with the Volumizing Conditioner so maybe it was it and not the shampoo. I have not used it but once so I am not sure which or if it was both. :(

bought this last year as BIG LOVE on the recommendation of a friend. I have a lot of fine hair, long and color treated. this shampoo was a dream. The fragrance was one of the reasons i loved it, very herbal and not perfumed. Well, now as volume shampoo is has virtually no fragrance and the volume I loved last year is just a memory. Totally bummed and won't buy again. The conditioner has very little fragrance as well and seems heavier. As they were not cheap i will use them both and mourn the passing of a wonderful shampoo and conditioner.

Conditioner went on nicely and detangled hair, but hair was totally dry and “fly-away” for rest of day. Had to apply an oily conditioner to calm it down so it wasn’t so full of static. My hair is typically rather oily and this absolutely dried it out.

Just bought this for the first time-found the feel/texture of the shampoo a bit weird, Not much in suds (know that is not necessary to clean but like the feel of the standard shampoo much better) and it didn’t give any additional volume vs. my normal shampoo. I got the travel size of this and it was great...left my hair clean, lifted, and bouncy. But this full size version did not do that for my hair at all. In fact, I noticed it made my hair more oily and as a result, flat. Very dissapointed!

I get the low sulfate thing for color protection, but I have shorter hair and I’m doing 5-6 pumps to get almost no lather. My scalp doesn’t feel clean after I shampoo. Does smell nice, but scent doesn’t last either. Meh.

I love the smell and initial feel of my hair after using this, but after about 30 min after it’s dry- STATIC. I have tried every combination of conditioner or serum or mousse with this and nothing solves the problem. Heartbreaking.

This was just ok for me. I think I need something that focuses on hydration for colored hair, because this leaves my hair feeling rough and dry and even with a conditioner, my hair had static electricity when I would try to style it. Not a good match for my hair.

I couldn't even try the product because the bottle wouldn't work. The pump wouldn't unlock no matter which way I screwed it. After 10 minutes of fiddling with it in the shower, it finally fell out of my hands and split open. I was too defeated by the packaging to even get to try the product.

I wanted to love this as much as the color care set. I have thin hair and needed a boost. If you don't want to run your fingers through your hair and for it to feel soft then maybe you will like it? I tried being heavy on matching conditioner and the only way I got through the bottle was to use the leave in conditioner.

I can't make the pump work. No matter how many times I turn it in any direction, pressure or no pressure, the pump won't budge. I end up taking the top off and just pouring it out. I would be fine with that if the product worked, but my hair doesn't seem to benefit either. It's not even voluminous, just dry. Wish I had canceled it before this last box arrived.

I have absolutely loved most of eSalon's products, so I was excited to try out this volumizing conditioner when I bought it last summer. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that tends to get flat as the day goes on. While this conditioner smells great, I have found that after using it, my hair is pretty dry and brittle -- it almost feels like I did not use any conditioner at all. For a while I tried using it only once a week, but even that seemed to be drying my hair out and I found I was compensating by using a lot of leave-in conditioner. This might be good for people that don't have a problem with dry hair or split-ends, but it wasn't for me.
