The first shampoo did not show any 'foaming up' to let me know it was really there. After the initial wash and rinse, I put on another tsp or so of the shampoo and it foamed up slightly. I will continue to use and see if it improves. I shampoo every second day so the hair wasn't that dirty.

I am not happy with the shampoo. There are no suds whatsoever, leaving my hair feeling not clean. I have used a sulfate free shampoo before which had more suds. Not sure why this one has none.

I was really disappointed in the shampoo. It seems very hard to get enough in your hair to work it through.

Can't say this shampoo really does it for me. It's not got the fragrance or creaminess that I hoped. It doesn't lather up easily either. It does clean my hair, it just doesn't have that special quality which I'd expect for the price, sadly.

I have given all of these products more than a fair trial run. The first time I said may be I did something
wrong? Next couple of times knowing I have extremely thick hair I kept another brand on stand by, as this Shampoo literally would suds up a little bit, but not turn into a nice deep sudy later like every other shampoo I have ever used or tried.
It simply was not making my hair feel clean.
So I am not saying for you to not try the product, but for extremely thick hair... it does not seem as though this product can handle the job.

takes a lot of shampoo to get a good lather, not crazy about the product. seems different from the packet that comes with the hair color kit.

I think I have a mental hurdle to get over regarding this shampoo. It seems to clean my hair but there is hardly any lather. Consequently I can't feel it working. I'm taking it for granted that it isn't meant lather - am I right? There doesn't seem to be much of a fragrance, which for me is fine. Perhaps I'm just used to using expensive, highly fragranced shampoo that stripped my hair of natural oils and colour quickly.

I've had better shampoos that are made to preserve the color. With this shampoo, it took quiet a lot in order to get enough coverage, plus it left my hair feeling course, not soft or smooth. It didn't soap up well and I had to follow up with another shampoo, essentially shampooing twice to get my hair thoroughly cleaned. I think I paid $15 and that's quiet a bit for my budget, especially for such a small bottle. Sorry, but it's a "no go" from me.

I purchased this looking for a color safe shampoo to protect my galaxy hair. The colors washed out much faster than with my previous shampoo. It might be better for more natural hair colors - but it seemed to strip my vivid colors out almost immediately.

I have purchased this shampoo after reading all comments, extremely positives. I am disappointed because I had to wash my hair at least 2 or 3 times for feel it really clean . It's true that it feels nice, but I will finish my bottle too soon if I continue using it like this!

I am quite disappointed with both the shampoo & conditioner. The shampoo is not thick enough. And needs a lot to lather up.
The conditioner also needs quite a lot to work through my hair and leave my hair dry and course.
First time buying these two & last time as well.

I'm sorry to say I wasn't so impressed with this color care shampoo. It left my hair feeling pretty dry and tangled and brittle. At my age, I can't afford breakage. Although it did seem to preserve my color a bit longer than your average color care shampoo's that you'd buy in store. I likely will not buy this again though.

I used to love this shampoo but this time it didn't lather at all. My hair didn't feel clean and I had to use conditioner to make it feel nice. Very disappointed because this was always a favorite of mine. Did you change your formula?

Unfortunately, every time I used this product, my scalp would end up itching horribly. I finally had to stop using it. I'm sure it's a fine product but something in the ingredients didn't agree with my skin and I couldn't use it. Won't be ordering it again.

I really do not get the lather I like in my shampoo with this one I have to use too much and this is very expensive to have to use too much..

I tried both the shampoo and conditioner, and while both were fine, they weren't as rich (as in easy to lather and distribute) as other brands, and they were more expensive. Also, I found the dispensers a little frustrating - hard to get the product out.

Many shampoos use chemicals such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to create a foamy lather. This can often strip the hair of color or moisture, so we don't use sulfates in our products. If you need a stronger lather to get your hair clean, simply add some water to the shampoo applied on your hair and massage through your scalp. You don't get enough for your buck!!! Plus it's not any better than Suave!! Had to use the whole bottle on my hair right after I dyed it. had to wash & condition my hair 4 times to get all the dye out & I have extremely thick & long hair!!! Oh and even though I said I had thick & long and had highlights in my hair they didn't give me enough dye for my hair nor did it look like I even dyed my hair

This shampoo is good for retaining the original color that one dyes the hair with; however, it fails to suds up so I find myself adding more "squirts" of it until I feel enough suds are there to clean my hair.

I thought it would be so much better than my usual hair colour. I have been impressed with the packaging and the the contents but I found it left my hair difficult to comb. I did not like the shampoo or conditioner and had to do it again with my usual products

The shampoo does not lather up too much leaving my hair feel like it's not fully clean. I have to use a lot for proper coverage and cleaning.

Though it was great at protecting colour this shampoo has been harsh on my hair. I wash and condition every day and my hair is dry and parched. I'm switching to a new shampoo and conditioner.

It works great with the color, but takes 6-8 pumps to get anywhere near enough for my medium length hair. And even then i don't feel like there is enough lather to really get my hair clean.

When you're in a hurry, you don't need a poorly designed dispenser, it takes ages to get a good amount out. Nightmare in the shower trying to push down on the pump, I ended up unscrewing bottle and losing half the shampoo, really angry because the product isn't cheap!. Bottle looks great but sadly that's not enough, nor is the product so amazing you would tolerate the bottle for the contents
